The Block judge Shaynna Blaze is reportedly the latest to air their grievances over the 2023 season’s “toxic behaviour”.

The 19th season of the hit renovation show has been plagued by “mean girl” antics and serious “bullying”, according to viewers.

Certain contestants’ actions (*cough* Leah Milton and Kristy Beams *cough*) were also recently discouraged by long-time judge Darren Palmer.

Now, sources tell Yahoo! Lifestyle that Shaynna is also fuming over the show’s focus on drama.

“Shaynna took Channel Nine to task,” one insider said.

Apparently, the general consensus among the judges is that The Block 2023 storylines are “simply not good enough”.

It’s understood that Shaynna’s feedback was heard “loud and clear” by the network, which says it “takes the mental health of their contestants very seriously”. But let’s be real, we’ve heard that one before.

“It is important to know, Nine has a welfare consultant on hand 24 hours a day for all of their reality TV contestants,” the insider said.

It’s also been alleged that audiences “aren’t getting the whole picture”, seeing as “a lot of people internally are defending Kristy and Leah”.

It comes after Darren shared his feelings about the drama on his Instagram Story during a recent Q&A.

“It’s fortunate we don’t hear about or see anything that happens during the week,” he said of the judges’ position.

“Keeps judging fair and subjective.”

Darren concluded: “I do not condone bullying.”
