Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Jesse Burford has made some super problematic comments on social media and it looks like the red flag club has inducted a new member.
During an Instagram Q&A on July 23, the marriage celebrant shared some rather unsavoury admissions about his dating preferences and we’re shook that these words even left his mouth.
The first eyebrow-raising moment occurred when the former groom confessed that he doesn’t like plus-sized girls. And can someone tell him that he doesn’t have to answer EVERY question sent to him?
Things went from bad to worse when the 31-year-old was asked if he’d ever date someone with a child.
“I’d hook up with someone with a kid, but I wouldn’t date someone long-term with children,” he began.
“I’m not particularly interested in raising another man’s kids,” he said, stating that he’d rather pour his “time, effort money and love” into his own children. Sheesh! Who hurt you?
“As a marriage celebrant, I think it’s a huge responsibility to be in a relationship with your partner,” he continued.
“And when you bring your kids into the mix, that’s a whole level of responsibility that you need to consider in everything you do in your life.”
And yes, that’s kinda how kids work, Jesse.
He then shared that he’s not ready to parent someone else’s children because he’s “still young”. However, when he’s in his 40s, he may change his mind.
Now, this isn’t the first time Jesse has been problematic. From staging pap shoots to posting videos with fake guns, he’s starting to sound more worrying than Harrison Boon...

During his personal honesty box challenge that nobody asked for, the reality star also spilled some tea about the marriage experiment after he was asked if people were allowed to get wasted at the infamous Dinner Parties.
“No,” he answered.
“If you got drunk, you got dragged. MAFS myth: they do not ram you with alcohol.” Oh, so the brides and grooms were REALLY that unhinged then. Yikes.
Jesse also revealed that he’s making $0 from social media, despite having over 226,000 followers on the ‘gram. We have a hunch this might have something to do with the rogue comments he’s been making online… Just sayin’!
