Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Janelle Han has revealed some spicy details about her relationship with her co-star Jesse Burford.

The pair formed a special bond on the show after their respective partners Claire Nomarhas and Adam Seed shared a kiss during filming on a drunken night out at the pub.

Since filming wrapped, the duo have been spotted looking rather cozy and as you’d expect, the rumour mill has gone wild, with many speculating that the pair are now dating.

However, the beauty influencer put these rumours to bed during Yahoo’s All-Star MAFS Reunion.

“So there are some articles out there of me and Jesse hanging out a lot in Perth,” the 29-year-old dished.

“We did have a bit of a trauma bond and, he might hate me, but we have shared a peck. Just an innocent little peck. That’s it.” A WHAT NOW? Our hearts can’t take this!

“It might have been friendly, it might have been romantic, I’m not sure,” she continued.

“But we have had the conversation that we weren’t going to pursue anything because I moved to Sydney.

“So at the moment, we’re just really good friends,” she added.

It turns out the Perth-based marriage celebrant feels the same way, as when he dropped in for a chat on the So Dramatic! podcast, he told host Megan Pustetto that “long distance” with the TV bride wasn’t on the cards.

“Janelle just moved to Sydney, so even if we were gonna walk down that path, we both said to each other that a long distance relationship is not something that is an option for us.”

BRB, screaming! Sounds like a classic case of right person, wrong time…

Janelle expresses her admiration for Jesse

The reality star explained the “multitude of reasons” she formed a bond with the 31-year-old after filming MAFS.

“During the experiment, we were good friends, but then post-experiment we got to know each other even more,” she said.

“I understood more layers about him, understood he was more of an emotionally intelligent person, and I think things that I need in my own personality I saw in him and I started admiring him a lot.”

Janelle even confessed that she had planned to walk into the Reunion Dinner Party with Jesse as a “prank”, but producers weren’t too keen on the idea.

“So at this point, me and Jesse were just really really good friends and we just love pranking people and having fun,” she spilled.

“So we were like, ‘Let’s go into the Reunion together and prank everyone!’.

“But now that I’ve watched the Reunion I think they wanted to give the ‘Jesse and Claire’ thing hope, so I understand why.” Now that’s some tea!

Jesse was reprimanded by MAFS producers for insinuating he and Janelle were together

Taking to TikTok, Jesse also played into rumours that he was dating Janelle with a cheeky AF video.

Sitting shirtless, Jesse asked whether someone could “teach [him] how to fricken do this [TikTok]”.

“Janelle!” he then called out. “Janelle, can you come teach me how to work this TikTok thing?” LOL.

While fans loved the post, the same couldn’t be said for the head honchos at Channel Nine.

In episode 272 of the So Dramatic! podcast it was revealed that Jesse “got an angry email from publicity” about his social media activity.

“[They were] telling him to take it down ASAP as he’s not meant to be posting on social media until the show is finished airing,” one source revealed. Whoops!
