Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Claire Nomarhas has opened up about her split from her on-screen hubby Jesse Burford, claiming he ghosted her after filming.
In her appearance on Today Extra on March 15, the kindergarten assistant implied that the marriage celebrant has been ignoring her texts since they left the experiment.
“I’ve always been the first to reach out to Jesse. You know, ‘How are you going? How was watching that [on TV]? How you feeling?'” she said.
However, the 31-year-old revealed that she’s never heard back from her ex.
“Jesse seems to be doing great. He’s enjoying his newfound fame back in Perth,” she said, confessing that he hasn’t asked her how she’s been.
As the pair haven’t spoken, Claire isn’t sure how the 30-year-old “feels about [her].” But TBH, we think it’s quite clear.

Claire also addressed the video Jesse posted to his celebrant business Instagram on March 12 celebrating their on-screen break-up.
The video showed Jesse removing his clothes and wedding ring in front of a TV that was playing a clip of himself and Claire at the Commitment Ceremony. His friends chanted “Take it off!” in the background as he slipped off his ring.
Claire confessed that she was hurt by the video, considering the couple’s history together.
“I did see a video of Jesse taking off his ring and it was quite dramatic and that did upset me,” she admitted.
The bride stated that she was upset because she’s “always spoken highly of Jesse.”
“I have respect for him and it made me feel like that wasn’t kind of reciprocated,” she said. “But, you know, what do you do? You got to let people be who they want to be, and I wish him all the good things.”
Claire and Jesse left the marriage experiment on March 12, as Jesse couldn’t forgive Claire for cheating on him with their co-star Adam Seed. And fair enough! We’re surprised they even lasted as long as they did.
