The Block Australia 2022’s Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra ditched the exclusive afterparty to watch the finale at home, after their multi-million dollar reno failed to sell at auction.

While the frankly anti-climatic auctions took place on November 5, the final episode didn’t air on TV until November 6.

This gave the cast and crew the perfect chance to gather together for one last time to watch the drama IRL.

But, “Shaz and Anks” apparently weren’t keen to catch up, instead hosting a party at home – and nobody from The Block was invited.

Taking to Instagram on November 10, Sharon shared some behind-the-scenes snippets of the auction day and their at-home watch party.

Their loved ones gathered on the floor in front of the TV to watch the bittersweet final moments for the two Blockheads, munching up dips, a box of Favourites and Doritos. *Gasp!* They’re just like us!

“As long as we got FAMILY,” Sharon captioned the post.

She continued: “Big shout out to my mum, dad and siblings who made a 24-hour round trip driving in the middle of the night from [South Australia]… just to support us on this day.

“Also my extended family who took care of [Bosco the dog] and supported us the whole way through. This is the sh*t that matters.”

Sharon added that she was “sad” they didn’t get to “party” with their “new fam” of Blockheads, admitting: “[I] needed these hugs from mumma after so long! ikyk [sic].”

The Block 2022 Contestants Were Split Into TWO Camps

While Sharon and Ankur decided to celebrate privately, after the actual auction on November 5, they also seemed to make a very quick exit.

A photo shared on Ryan and Rachel Carr‘s joint official Instagram account proved that the five teams had split into two camps.

In one were Ryan and Rachel, Dylan and Jenny Heath and Tom Calleja and Sarah Jane Wilson, and in the other were winners  Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Malik and Sharon and Ankur, with the latter nowhere to be seen!

Ooft… drama on The Block?! Well, we never!
