Gogglebox Duo Angie Kent and Yvie Jones Reflect on Di Kershaw’s Legacy

Di was never shy about sharing her opinions of Angie Kent’s many reality TV escapades. Still, the former Bachelorette and her Gogglebox co-star Yvie Jones offered their condolences on their shared Instagram.

“Very saddened to hear the news this morning that fellow Gogglebox family member Di has passed away. She was such a force. Our hearts go out to Mick and their children and family. What a loss [sic],” they wrote.

Angie also commented on Gogglebox Australia‘s Instagram, writing: “Devastating news. Sending so much love to her family and friends and GB fam. What a firecracker she was! A big loss.”

They later addressed the loss further on their Two Girls One Pod podcast.

“Obviously we were a part of Gogglebox for four years so we just want to send all of our love to her family, Mick, her children, everybody,” Angie said.

“She was a very loved woman and she had such a place on that show. You know, she was a lot of people’s favourites ’cause of her acerbic wit and her ability to tell it how it is, no matter what,” Yvie said.

“They actually referred to her as an icon of sorts,” Angie said, to which Yvie quickly agreed: “Yeah and she was!”

“There’s not much space for older woman on television and she had such a big presence,” Angie continued.

“She just said whatever came to her mind and sometimes it was a little bit hard to hear. I’ve been on the back-end of it but I loved her for it because she didn’t care and I love it when women don’t care and they can say what they want. So, go off Queen!”
