Gogglebox Australia is getting the full celeb treatment!
Celebrity Gogglebox Australia will air at 7.30 pm on Wednesday, March 2 with the one-time event seeing Australian celebrities take to their couch.
The first celeb couple announced by FOXTEL, on a no doubt *luxe* celebrity size couch, is none other than Australia’s sweethearts Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster Blake! YASS MUM AND DAD!
“We’ve trained every night for this over the last ten years, we’ve got this,” Hamish told FOXTEL. A very typical Hamish response LOL.
Who else will be appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox Australia?
The much-loved couple will be joined by “Australia’s most celebrated television hosts, comedians, radio presenters and performers.”
“Viewers will discover what shows make our celebrities laugh, debate, and scream at their television screens and the question everyone is asking – will they be watching themselves?”
According to Brian Walsh, executive director of television – FOXTEL Group, the production company “waited until the time was right to commission Celebrity Gogglebox.”
“FOXTEL has always held the view that if we were able to take one of our most successful shows and modify it and lift it with a celebrity version, we had to deliver the strongest lineup of Australian celebrities,” he explained.
“We believe we have delivered just that, for what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of Australian television in 2022.”

The celebrity cast will cover a number of fields including television, sport, comedy and lifestyle, meaning it should cater to a wide demographic and audience. So with any luck, the chances of knowing who all the celebs are will be higher than they usually are on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
“We’re beyond excited at the calibre of the celebrity Goggleboxers set to pull up a couch with us! We can’t wait to reveal the full line-up,” head of comedy at Endemol Shine Australia, David McDonald said.
Will Celebrity Gogglebox Australia be made into a series?
In terms of this one-off special becoming permanent, they have expressed that if it resonates with their subscribers then: “our ambition would be to make it a regular fixture on the Gogglebox calendar.” YES PLEASE!
