Gogglebox star Adam Densten has revealed the “hectic” story which led to the birth of his daughter, Celia Kate.
Announcing the news on his podcast, The Adam & Symon Show (with fellow Goggleboxer Symon Lovett) the new dad spoke about the early arrival of his first-born child.
What Happened During the Birth of Celia?
Arriving four weeks early, Adam admitted he was left feeling “frazzled”.
According to the podcast host, he and his wife Rachel were only given 45 minutes’ notice to “whip the baby out” after Rachel had noticed their baby had stopped moving.
“I got a call from Rachel on the way home and she said the baby isn’t moving as much,” he told his co-host, Symon.
“Usually, it’s having wild raves and disco parties, like having a great time on the dance floor or kickboxing, but that slowed down on Monday, and she [Rachel] was getting a bit concerned.”
The couple thought they were going into the hospital for a quick check-up since there was over a month to go; however, in a shocking twist of events, baby Celia was in their arms “45 minutes later” via emergency c-section.
“Rach was super chilled. I was frazzled,” he said before joking that he was walking around “like a bit of a zombie” after the unexpected and speedy delivery.
Adam Announced the Birth Three Weeks After It Happened
Taking to his Instagram, Adam revealed that he was now a new dad, however, they had “sneakily” welcomed their daughter “three weeks ago”.
“We had a baby! Sneakily, we actually had our baby 3 weeks ago and have been posting pics of Rach still being pregnant while we working out how to care for another human with no experience whatsoever, [sic]” he penned.
The star also shared some cute AF pics of Rachel, Celia and, of course, a GORGEOUS video of himself, and we are gushing!
Adam Densten Announced His Wife’s Pregnancy In December 2021
The star announced they were expecting their first child together in an Instagram post back in December, sharing a series of photos of himself and Rachel.
“We are either new ambassadors for a super fund, or we’re announcing that we’re pregnant. The second photo may be a giveaway though…” he wrote alongside a sonogram and several photos of the pair to reveal the news.
“Densten Jr. arriving in 2022! 👶🏼” he added.
The announcement was met with an outpour of well-wishes from Adam’s Gogglebox castmates, with best friend Symon writing, “The best news 🙌.”
Adam and Rachel tied the knot in April 2021.
