One of Ronnie Caceres‘ Celebrity Apprentice Australia 2022 co-stars has revealed how the reality star was really affected by his last-place loss on The Block 2021.
Returning to the hit renovation show as “faves”, Ronnie and his wife, Georgia, were tipped to win the series. However, fans and contestants alike got the shock of the season when the couple fell to last place, only pocketing $296,000 for their build.
This was far removed from the $744K that eventual winners Mitch Edwards and Mark Mckie stashed for their efforts.
According to Ronnie’s Celebrity Apprentice rival, actor Darren McMullen, the two-time Block star left set partway through filming to attend The Block auctions.
However, in the fallout of his loss, Ronnie returned to the boardroom a “different” person.
“Something changed dramatically after The Block. I think everyone would say that,” Darren told KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren on June 8. “We were initially segregated into guys’ and girls’ teams and the boys were really tight, we were winning all the challenges, everything was great.”
However, once Ronnie reappeared, Darren said that it was clear that things “didn’t go very well” at The Block auctions.
“He came back a different guy.”

During a recent episode of Celebrity Apprentice, Darren and Ronnie locked horns over gameplay.
The former Voice host picked apart Ronnie’s alliance with co-star and ex-MAFS bride Beck Zemek, calling the pair “slidey and snaky”.
Ronnie, who has copped flack from fans over his behaviour on the show, then dubbed Darren a “D-grade actor” before Darren took a jab at his loss on The Block.
“Sorry, Ronnie… from the guy that came last on the bloody Block.” Yikes!
It was obvious that Ronnie and Georgia’s loss took a toll on the couple when Ronnie went MIA during the remaining auctions.
While some dubbed the seasoned renovator a “bad sport”, a friend of the couple told So Dramatic! why Ronnie removed himself from the set.
“Seeing some of the other teams who had cheated, not had the same great feedback from the judges… get better results than they did, was a kick in the guts,” they said.
Tanya and Vito Guccione, who were at the centre of the season’s “biggest cheating scandal”, pocketed over $100k more than Ronnie and Georgia at auction.
The inside source also revealed that Ronnie was feeling “upset and overwhelmed” by the outcome and “left to compose himself”.
