You may know Ronnie Caceres as the boisterous personality from The Block, but the Celebrity Apprentice Australia 2022 star had a whole other career before becoming a reno extraordinaire.

Yup, before finding fame on The Block in 2017, Ronnie worked as a real estate agent and in turn, knows how to turn on the charm — especially when it comes to the power of persuasion.

Knowing the ins and outs of what makes a sellable property definitely gave him and his wife, Georgia, the upper hand on the hit renovation show, too.

However, not all went to plan on auction day, when the pair’s home became the first home to be passed in on The Block in nearly 10 seasons.

With a reserve price set at $2.62 million, the controversial couple only managed to get bidders to reach the $2.6 million mark, $20,000 short of the reserve.

Not all was lost for the Caceres, however.

In The Block‘s first-ever Fans vs Faves iteration, Ronnie and Georgia came back with a vengeance — and a plan to win the whole damn thing in 2021.

While the pair did manage to pocket a sizeable $269,000 in the end, Ronnie was notably MIA after the sale of their property.

Fans called the contestant a “bad sport”, however, a friend of the couple set the record straight with So Dramatic! as to why Ronnie removed himself from the set.

“Seeing some of the other teams who had cheated, not had the same great feedback from the judges… get better results than they did, was a kick in the guts,” they said.

Tanya and Vito Guccione, who were at the centre of the season’s “biggest cheating scandal”, pocketed over $100k more than Ronnie and Georgia at auction.

The inside source also revealed that Ronnie was feeling “upset and overwhelmed” by the outcome and “left to compose himself”.

Ronnie Caceres Has Co-Hosted a Renovation Series

As the most-awarded team in Block history, it’s no surprise Ronnie and Georgia have had a successful career in renovations.

After their first stint on The Block, the couple co-hosted their own eight-part web renovation series, Quick Room Flips.

Speaking to Women’s Day, Georgia also revealed that the couple was planning to start their own renovation TV show post-Block lyfe.

“We’ve got a couple of shows in the works all within the Nine family, so it’s set to be a very busy year for us,” the reality star said.

As for content, Georgia also told the publication that the renovation of their current home could be documented on the small screen.

“We’re currently living in a 100-year-old weatherboard cottage we bought a couple of years ago and it’s in desperate need of a renovation.”

The couple, who share children Leo and Charlotte (while Ronnie has an older son, Giordano, from a previous relationship) have worked on “bits here and there”, but they’re hoping “to do an amazing extension” on their Perth home.

“That’s something we’re going to document and share along the way, so we’re excited about that.”
