From celebrities facing creepy crawlies to testing their limits in the wild, each season has delivered unforgettable moments.
So let’s take a trip down memory lane to see which stars previously took the crown on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia!
Season 11: Sam Thaiday
Fans were thrilled when former NRL star Sam Thaiday was crowned the winner of I’m a Celebrity in 2025.
Sam described the win as a “massive blindside,” admitting he thought Big Brother icon Reggie Bird had it in the bag.
Reflecting on his time in the jungle, Sam revealed that he was often labeled a “beefhead” due to his rugby background. However, the experience allowed him to showcase a different side of himself.
“People know me from playing rugby league, and maybe that’s why I surprised a few people because I have a lot more strings in my bow than just being a footballer,” he told Chattr.
Sam’s victory earned him $100,000 for his chosen charity, Find Ya Feet, an organisation dedicated to empowering men to open up about their struggles and challenge the status quo.
Season 10: Skye Wheatley
Big Brother icon Skye Wheatley was crowned the Queen of the Jungle in I’m a Celebrity 2024.
The mother-of-two tackled wild trials, including facing her fears in the Viper Room, and raised $100,000 for Bully Zero, a charity close to her heart.
Entering the season as a well-known influencer and TV personality, Skye quickly won over her fellow contestants and the hearts of Aussies everywhere.
When her win was announced, a tearful Skye said, “I feel like the whole journey, the whole experience has taught me so many things, and I just can’t wait to apply those things I’ve learned in the jungle in my everyday life.”
Season Nine: Liz Ellis
Champion netballer Liz Ellis gained another title when she was crowned the I’m A Celebrity 2023 winner after wiping out the rest of the competition.
The 50-year-old went into the season with a legion of netball followers, but it wasn’t long until the rest of Australia fell in love with her.
“Truly thankful to every single person who watched and voted for Queen Liz and for Share The Dignity,” Liz’s management posted on Instagram on her behalf.
“Huge shoutout to family, friends, colleagues, crew and all the netty gangs for the beautiful messages of love and support.”
Season Eight: Dylan Lewis
Bubbly TV host Dylan Lewis bagged the King of the Jungle title in season eight, beating frontrunner Brooke McClymont.
The 50-year-old quickly became a fan favourite as he always kept spirits high in the jungle, and his positivity ultimately carried him to the end.
“I did go in fearing absolutely everything in the world because I’m old and that’s what you do, as you get older, you fear everything and make yourself comfortable,” he told hosts Chris and Julia Morris.
“So having to go through all of that, I really honestly, genuinely feel like a stronger person than when I went into the jungle,” he added.
Alongside his hosting gigs, Dylan is also the ambassador for Headspace, The Starlight Foundation, Smiling Mind, Ride2School Day and Artists For Kids. He also plays in a band called The Haploids, which plays “music for kids that parents won’t hate”.
Season Seven: Abbie Chatfield
The ruling queen of Australian reality TV, Abbie Chatfield, became a quick fan fave during season seven of I’m a Celeb Australia.
The former-Bachie star beat out Network Ten’s own Grant Denyer for the win, and of course, Twitter trolls had a sh*t ton of opinions about it!
Abbie took to Instagram stories after the finale to tell off trolls and defend her title as Queen of the Jungle.
I’m a Celeb wasn’t Abbie’s last reality TV venture. She recently hosted Love Island Afterparty.
Abbie also has a successful podcast called It’s a Lot and is an ambassador for Vush, a sexual wellness company.
Season Six: Miguel Maestre
Everyone’s favourite TV chef, Miguel Maestre, was crowned King of the Jungle in season six of I’m a Celebrity Australia.
The other contestants were understandably stoked to have The Living Room Australia star in the jungle. However, Miguel’s famous cooking skills didn’t do much to make the monotonous rice and beans taste any less bleh…
The Spanish-born Australian chef took the crown from runner-up Dale Thomas.
Miguel continues to co-host The Living Room alongside Amanda Keller, Baz Dubois, and I’m a Celeb Australia host Dr Chris Brown.
Season Five: Richard Reid
Australian-based American entertainment reporter Richard Reid stole the hearts of I’m a Celebrity fan from episode one.
An instant fan fave, it was no shock to anyone when Richard was crowned King of the Jungle for season 5. Goggle Box’s Yvie Jones was the season five runner-up.
In 1999, when working for Northwest Cable News in Seattle, Richard caused a stir by becoming the first openly gay on-air personality in the region.
Richard is most well known for his daily gossip segment on Today, which he hosted from 2006-2015.
I’m a Celebrity Australia was not the reporter’s first crack at Australian reality TV. Prior to I’m a Celeb, he had a stint on The Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
Today, Richard is a regular contributor to Network Ten’s morning show Studio 10 and an ambassador for Beyond Blue.
According to his Instagram, he is also a “trivia superstar.”
Season Four: Fiona O’Loughlin
Aussie comedian Fiona O’Loughlin left singer Shannon Noll crying “what about me, it isn’t fair” after beating him to the crown on season four of I’m a Celebrity Australia.
In late 2020 Fiona made a heartbreaking admission about her stint on the show. She told The Daily Telegraph that her struggle with alcoholism got so bad during her time in the jungle that she resorted to drinking hand sanitiser.
“I freaked and planned to do it. In the middle of the night I just f**king did it. I waited until everyone was asleep and I drank hand sanitiser,” she confessed.
Despite winning $100,000 for Angel Flight, she admitted that she wasn’t in the right mindset to take part in the show.
Fiona has been sober for over a year now. She has since released a book, Truths from an Unreliable Witness, which has also been turned into a stage show.
Season Three: Casey Donovan
Singer Casey Donovan rose to fame after winning season two of Australian Idol in 2004.
Casey continued her reality TV win-streak with I’m a Celeb Australia, claiming the win over Dane Swan and fellow musician Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
After a tedious 46 days in the South African jungle, Casey was surprised to win. She even spilled that she had considered dropping out of the show several times!
Throughout her time in the jungle, Casey spoke frankly about her struggles with anxiety. She hoped that her openness would inspire others living with anxiety to step outside their comfort zones.
She continues to write music and is currently starring in the Australian tour of musical &Juliet.
Season Two: Brendan Fevola
Controversial AFL star Brendan Fevola snagged the jungle crown from runner-up Paul Harrogan in season two of I’m a Celebrity Australia.
Brendan’s AFL career ended after a string of high profile scandals, and throughout the season he spoke openly of his struggles with alcoholism, gambling addiction and depression.
The former footy player confessed his hope that his appearance on the show would help repair his public image.
He told the cameras “I want everyone to realise this is the real me — I’m not an idiot. That’s pretty much it.”
His plan obviously worked, as Australia voted to keep him in the jungle ‘til the very end!
Brendan now spends his time looking after his three daughters.
Season One: Freddie Flintoff
The inaugural season of I’m a Celebrity Australia was an absolute cracker.
With a cast including comedians Chrissie Swan and Joel Creasy, as well as former The Bachelor Australia star Tim Robards, it was a tough crowd to beat for the crown.
However, English cricket star Freddie Flintoff won the hearts of the nation after entering as a surprise intruder on day 17.
His British charm (and maaaybe his killer looks) made him a quick fan favourite. Freddie was ultimately crowned King of the Jungle.
He has since made guest appearances on The Project and co-hosted Australian Ninja Warrior and Top Gear.
