Cyrell Paule has slammed Skye Wheatley for making “racist” comments about her appearance on The Amazing Race Australia 2024: Celebrity Edition.

ICYMI: Back in 2022, the reality stars locked horns at an influencer event after Skye questioned the legitimacy of Cyrell’s relationship with Love Island‘s Eden Dally, with whom she shares son Boston.

On September 15, Cyrell took to her Instagram Stories with screenshots of the I’m a Celebrity alum’s insensitive comments after her latest appearance on The Amazing Race.

In one screenshot, Skye wrote: “She’s crazy, but she makes great TV, I’ll give her that” under a clip of Cyrell.

Cyrell shared a screenshot of this and clapped back writing over it, “Skye, woman to woman, you have no right to call me crazy. Do you ever think about the ramifications of your words?

“Of course, a light-skinned woman is allowed to call a woman of colour crazy. But if a dark-skinned woman like me called you a ‘crazy sh*t stirring b*tch’, I’d be considered the ‘aggressive crazy black b*tch’.”

Historically, people of colour have been stereotypically mislabeled as “aggressive” and “crazy”, and the racist “angry black woman” trope sadly still circulates in the media.

These dangerous representations are reinforced by white society, making Skye’s comments all the more harmful.

The former MAFS bride shared another screenshot, where Skye commented: “Cyrell’s so scary guys. I’m having PTSD watching this from our little interaction we had.”

“I’m so scary, guys. This is proving exactly what I mean,” Cyrell wrote over it. “When I call myself crazy, or someone I know [does], I know it’s a joke. But when it’s coming from someone who doesn’t like me, I know it’s backhanded.”

Cyrell then urged her followers not to call people of colour any names that would indicate they were “crazy” due to the racial implications.

“As a woman of colour, this portrays me as aggressive and violent. It’s not okay.”

She then shared a screenshot of an article stating that Skye donated $100,000 to Bully Zero after winning I’m a Celebrity.

“Amazing how she picked Bully Zero as her charity. Am I crazy, or is that hypocritical?” she clapped back.

She then slammed Skye one last time, writing: “I’m glad to see you b*tches I blocked watching me on TV when I didn’t even watch you. I guess I entertain you. Wanna be me?”

Cyrell also recalled the influencer event where she first met Skye, claiming she was trying to determine if her relationship with Eden was a “publicity stunt”.

“Skye said she was trying to get to know me. But if you were trying, why not ask me how old my son is or what’s my favourite colour.”

Cyrell finished by saying she was “sick of having to explain” her relationship with Eden.

“All I know is Skye, I didn’t steal my partner from anyone, unlike others. So bye, Felicia.”

Now, Skye met her long-time bae, Lachlan Waugh, on Tinder, so we’re not sure what this comment is referring to. But we’re digging the shade!
