It’s been alleged that a top I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia producer was fired after 2023 contestant Kerri-Anne Kennerley made some bombshell claims about the show.
ICYMI: The TV veteran claimed in July that Channel 10 “lied” to her to get her to sign on to the hit jungle competition.
“I got promised a bunch of stuff, and they lied. And so instead of being in there, the three weeks I committed to, I got out in three days,” she revealed on Tammin Sursok‘s podcast, The Sh*t Show.
It’s since been revealed by an I’m a Celebrity insider that a highly regarded producer of the show was sacked amid the fallout of Kerri-Anne’s claims.
“He was the collateral damage in the firestorm Kerri created as she arrived back in Australia,” the source told Daily Mail Australia.
“A few producers did not come back after that whole debacle but one very senior person, who had been on that show since the start, took that hit, it was sad to see him go.”
They added: “Casting producers predict they will have a hard time signing up new celebrities next year with Kerri Anne coming out with her claims.”

An ex-daytime TV producer backed Kerri-Anne’s claims that she was lied to ahead of her time on I’m a Celebrity, telling the outlet that past contestants also reported similar experiences.
“It would take a lot of money and a lot of patience to get that deal off the ground. I believe they lied to her or at least left parts out,” the producer claimed.
“There was a certain way Network 10 would approach their A-list talent when it came to locking in their appearance in the Jungle.”
The source added, “A former campmate from 2016 confirmed that not everything ‘they’ promised was given, and many of us turned a blind eye because we just couldn’t be bothered complaining anymore.
“I think they got more ballsy when fudging the offer. You could do that kind of stuff to Gogglebox celebrities but not to TV royalty. Especially when she knows a thing or two about holding producers to their word.”
Kerri-Anne’s allegations followed her controversial stint in the jungle, in which she famously locked horns with ex-Married at First Sight bride Domenica Calarco.
