It’s only day three of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2023 and Domenica Calarco has already been pushed to breaking point over Kerri-Anne Kennerley‘s special makeup privileges.
Yep, that’s right, makeup.
During the April 4 episode, the former Married At First Sight star broke down in tears when she saw TV royalty Kerri-Anne hastily applying her makeup.
Under normal circumstances, makeup and other luxury items are not permitted in the jungle.
But Kerri-Anne is no normal person and managed to negotiate several additional terms into her contract before agreeing to take part in the show.
We mean, she has been in biz for decades so, we’re not surprised she knows the ins and outs of contract negotiations. Power to her!
But it didn’t go down too well with her fellow campmate Domenica, who had a literal meltdown over Kerri-Anne’s lippie and blush.
“Why does she think it’s okay that she gets makeup and no one else gets skincare and makeup?” the one-time reality star sulked to her fellow campmates.
“I feel as though there’s a power imbalance there.”
Former Australian Idol judge Ian “Dicko” Dickson encouraged Domenica to approach the 69-year-old TV icon “in a way that’s not overly combative and not disrespectful”.
“I don’t think that the question is disrespectful,” Domenica replied before storming off in tears.
“The question I want to ask… It’s not aggressive! I’m sick of it!”
Domenica confronts Kerri-Anne over makeup privileges
Turns out Ian’s advice was pretty good because a short time later Domenica sat down with Kerri-Anne to hash out the makeup situation.
“I was just wondering, how does one get around face wash and makeup in the jungle?” Domenica asked.
“One gets allowed it when one makes it a condition of coming in. And that was an actual deal breaker. That’s the reality. That’s the truth. Because I asked,” Kerri-Anne told Domenica.
“So, if you’ve got any questions about anything that you want answered from me. I’m always here because I promise you. I will.”

As one of the biggest names to ever set foot in the jungle, Kerri-Anne was afforded some liberties in her I’m A Celebrity contract.
“Look, I’m not going in without makeup and my skincare. I wear 50+ sunscreen and I want a little blush or a little lippie. Nothing too over the top. I’m not going to go unnatural,” she told Woman’s Day.
The veteran TV star also weaselled her way out of extreme challenges due to two recent knee replacements.
After close to 50 years in the TV industry, we think she’s more than earned her right to be a diva.
