I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia 2024‘s Skye Wheatley has confirmed she was axed from Big Brother‘s All-Star season at the 11th hour.
Skye first rose to fame on Big Brother Australia 2014, during which she became a fan favourite, finishing in third place.
So, when it was announced that the once-hit series would bring back franchise “royalty” for a star-studded season in 2022, the now mega-influencer was at the top of everybody’s contestant wishlist.
As previously reported by So Dramatic!, Skye was slated to appear on the show before being cut from the lineup days before filming.
According to the 30-year-old, a spicy confession during an Instagram Q&A was the nail in her Big Brother coffin.

Chatting to news.com.au ahead of her venture into the I’m a Celebrity 2024 jungle, Skye dished what went down.
“I was supposed to go on for that, but a couple of weeks before flying to Sydney to do it, I answered a question on my Instagram, ‘Who’s more dominant in the bedroom?’,” she explained.
“And I said, ‘Oh, it depends… If I’m in the mood, I’m not going to take no for an answer.’ But he [partner Lachlan Waugh] likes that. He likes it when I’m like, ‘Babe, let’s have sex.’
“But everyone was like, ‘You make him have non-consensual sex’,” she said of the backlash.
Just days before filming kicked off in late 2021, Skye said she received an email from Channel 7 stating that she had been cut from the show.
“They said, ‘Hey, we’re not going to go ahead with putting you in.’ They wouldn’t tell me the reason, but that had to be the reason,” she confessed.
“[Channel 7] didn’t want bad publicity or anything like that, which was really disappointing. It actually broke my heart.”
The mother-of-two has made more than her fair share of blunders online in recent years, from disparaging comments about OnlyFans creators to spreading misinformation about eating disorders.
