Married at First Sight Australia has a rocky track record. However, a few lucky MAFS couples have managed to beat the odds and are still together IRL.

The credibility of the MAFS experts has been called into question on more than one occasion (honestly, who TF decided to match Coco Stedman and Sam Carraro!?).

There have been a whopping amount of matches made across the show’s 11 seasons. Only five of those couples powered through the MAFS beef and managed to make it work IRL.

Those are some pretty appalling statistics…

Our fingers are crossed that, given the show is in its 11th season, MAFS 2024 will see a good few couples added to this list. Or not

Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson

Ah yes, inarguably the most controversial couples MAFS has ever produced.

Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson’s highly-publicised relationship was, in summary, total chaos.

From rumours of Bryce having a secret girlfriend to him forcefully kissing Beck Zemek in front of Melissa, he was always just the absolute worst.

A petition was even launched asking the Nine Network to apologise for failing their duty of care to Melissa!

On episode 51 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a source close to Bryce spilled to host Megan Pustetto that he had actually dumped his fiancée Lana to go on MAFS.

To top it off, another source described Bryce as a “fame whore”. So yeah, he’s kinda always been a d-bag

Somehow though, to the confusion of literally everyone, the pair are still together.

After confirming their devotion to each other in their final vows, Bryce moved to Melbourne to be with Melissa.

In July of 2021, the MAFS couple announced their engagement.

They also revealed that Melissa was pregnant — with twins!

Their baby boys Levi and Tate were born in October 2021 and Bryce took to Instagram to introduce them to the world.

More recently, Bryce announced the boys’ Godfather is none other than his MAFS bestie Jason Engler.

Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente

Despite entering Married at First Sight halfway through the eighth season, Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente fell head over heels pretty quickly.

Johnny and Kerry were a total breath of fresh air among the drama-fuelled 2021 season of MAFS.

TBH, they were the first couple in a while that seemed to have absolutely zero beef with each other!

After the experiment ended the MAFS couple agreed to take things slowly.

However, she moved from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast to be with him and now… drumroll please… THEY’RE MARRIED FOR REAL!

Yup, the Married at First Sight duo surprised fans on January 6, 2023, revealing they tied the knot IRL on January 5.

Then, on January 25, 2024, Johnny and Kerry announced that their little family is set to grow by one.

“Baby B incoming, June 2024,” they wrote alongside a photo of the couple and their dog, Enzo.

The pair appear to be going from strength to strength and regularly parade their romance on Instagram giving us all the feels!

After meeting at the Married at First Sight alter in 2019 Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have remained as strong as ever.

They were fan favourites during their time on the show. So, naturally, we were delighted when they announced their IRL engagement in December 2021.

The Married at First Sight couple remain typically coy about each other on social media.

However, Martha did treat her Instagram followers to a snap of her stunning ring!

Designed by Armans Jewellery, the eye-catching emerald cut diamond sits horizontally, rather than vertically like a traditional ring.

Michael followed this up by sharing to Instagram a sweet video of the moment he proposed to his bae.

While the pair are yet to wed, they’ve since welcomed their first child together, a son named Lucius.

Michael and Martha welcomed him into the world on February 27, 2023, following an intense pregnancy during which Martha was diagnosed with a severe case of Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which left her bedridden for two months.

Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant

When you think of truly loved-up Married at First Sight couples, you probably think of Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant.

The pair met during the sixth season of Married at First Sight Australia and made our hearts melt all season.

They worked so well that Cam proposed to Jules officially at the final vows. This made them the first couple in the show’s history to tie the knot post-experiment.

Cam and Jules married in January 2018 and welcomed a son, Ollie, in September of 2020.

Jules frequently posts happy family snaps to her Instagram, and continues working as the CEO of her shape-wear line Figur.

Further solidifying them as the perfect match, Cam and Jules announced in February 2024 that they’re expecting their second child.

“When three becomes four,” the duo shared on Instagram.

Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr

Season Two’s Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr are the longest-lasting couple to come out of Married at First Sight Australia.

After leaving the experiment in 2016, the couple stepped away from the public eye.

They keep their relationship incredibly private, with no loved-up pics of the pair to be found on social media.

Erin does have Instagram, however, she uses it predominantly to share vegan recipes with her followers.

Despite various rumours of a potential engagement, the couple has not confirmed any wedding plans as of yet.

However, we do know they are still going strong, and that’s about as good as it gets post-MAFS!
