Ex-bride Martha Kalifatidis has slammed the current season of Married at First Sight Australia, calling the cast “uninteresting” and “unrelatable”.
As one of the biggest stars to come out of the show, the 34-year-old candidly weighed in on the 2023 season, admitting that she’s unimpressed with the fresh crop of newlyweds.
During an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on March 22, the influencer admitted that she hadn’t watched much of the new season as it coincided with her pregnancy. However, from what she had seen, it was very clear to her that this year’s cast weren’t going to see much post-show success.
“From the few episodes that we have watched, the cast isn’t as relatable,” she dished to hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
“The show is good but the people aren’t interesting.” Brutal!
The radio hosts also mentioned that Martha had more Instagram followers than any of the current cast members.
The new mum gained over 200,000 fans whilst her season was airing in 2019, and these numbers have only continued to grow.
A professional influencer manager also reckons this year’s cast doesn’t have what it takes to become full-time influencers. So maybe Martha’s right for calling them “unrelatable”!
