Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jonathan McCullough allegedly admitted that he wished he was matched with Ellie Dix during the experiment and called her ‘hot’.

ICYMI: During the March 24 Commitment Ceremony, Tori Adams outed Jonathan for messaging Ellie, whom he’s now dating IRL, during the experiment. However, the groom insisted they were just friends and said he wasn’t attracted to her.

However, as revealed in episode 366 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Jonathan was lying about his feelings for Ellie, which all comes out during the March 25 dinner party.

“Tori drops another bombshell and says that Jono had been telling Jack [Dunkley] that he thinks Ellie’s ‘hot’ and wishes he was matched with her instead,” one contestant told So Dramatic!.

Jack also said Ellie was ‘hot’ to Jono, but he never threw Jack under the bus; he just copped it. They both called her ‘hot’ during a gym session.”

According to our source, Lauren Dunn went “apesh*t” at Jonathan and called him “every name under the sun”. And we can’t wait to watch this play out!

What were Married at First Sight‘s Jonathan and Ellie texting about during the experiment

According to our source, Jonathan “happily handed over his phone” to Lauren, and nothing was damning in his messages to Ellie.

“There were a lot of messages, over 100,” the contestant explained. “They were talking every day, but they weren’t flirting, they were just friendly messages, chatting back and forth.

“It’s still bad that he messaged her during filming,” the source justified. “They both had a crush on each other, so it definitely wasn’t just friendly.

“He should’ve waited until he’d left the experiment or been honest with Lauren.” Amen!

MAFS‘ Jonathan LIED about Ellie messaging him first

During the March 24 Commitement Ceremony, Jonathan also claimed that Ellie reached out to him first. But So Dramatic! can reveal that this is untrue.

One of Ellie’s friends jumped to the couple’s defence, commenting under a post about the episode. However, in doing so, they revealed that Jonathan had been the first one to initiate a conversation.

“LOL all you idiots saying [Ellie’s] a snake,” they wrote. “Lauren KNEW they were speaking because there was NO cheating scandal. Jono reached out to Ellie to ask how she was after she had left the experiment.

“Everything said between them was ABOVE BOARD, and they never met up until AFTER the show finished airing. Dramatisation by Channel Nine at its finest.” The plot thickens!

Another contestant backed up this intel, confirming that Jonathan DID message Ellie first.

“When Lauren looked at the messages during the dinner party, she saw Jono sent the first message,” they said.

“It wasn’t shown during their couch session, but Lauren annihilated Ellie, saying it was so dog of another woman to reach out to her husband.

“Jono just sat there letting Lauren go off about Ellie and let her cop the heat when he was the one who messaged her first. He said nothing and threw Ellie under the bus to protect himself.”

And somebody please find this man a backbone stat!
