Married at First Sight 2024 is in “damage control” behind the scenes after details about the season’s cheating scandal leaked.
ICYMI: It was revealed in February that despite being wed to Ben Walters and Lauren Dunn on the show, Ellie Dix and Jonathan McCullough began “messaging each other” behind their partners’ backs.
They’ve since been spotted out and about together, including in photos from Ellie’s work Christmas party, which were shared on social media.

An insider has since told Yahoo! Lifestyle that everyone is now in “damage control”.
Ellie and Jonathan have also been “reprimanded for being so careless and reminded of their contracts”.
On top of this, the couple have been “withdrawn from all media opportunities” for the time being and, unsurprisingly, their co-stars are “furious at them” for spoiling the show.
What else do we know about Ellie Dix and Jonathan McCullough’s MAFS scandal?
According to one MAFS insider, the way the scandal comes out on the show is “so awful”.
“Ellie left earlier than Jono, so poor Lauren had no idea until later in the experiment when the brides decided to tell her what had been going on,” they told So Dramatic!.
“Lauren was blindsided; it was so awful.”
The source added that Ellie and Jonathan rocked up at the reunion “hand-in-hand”.
“Lauren felt humiliated and embarrassed,” they continued. “Jono and Ellie are still together now and very happy.”
