The surprising Married at First Sight Australia 2024 couple who are at the centre of this season’s cheating scandal have been revealed, and we NEVER expected this from them!
ICYMI: the show’s SPICY trailer teased that a hectic cheating scandal would rock the 11th season of the marriage experiment. And there’s always (at least) one!
This year, Ellie Dix, who’s married to Ben Walters, and Jonathan McCullough, who’s paired with Lauren Dunn, are at the centre of it all. And yes, our jaws are on the floor!

One insider told So Dramatic! that the pair were “messaging each other ” behind their partner’s backs during the experiment.
“Ellie left earlier than Jono, so poor Lauren had no idea until later in the experiment when the brides decided to tell her what had been going on,” they said. “Lauren was blindsided; it was so awful.”
The source added that Ellie and Jonathan rocked up at the Reunion “hand-in-hand”. Yikes.
“Lauren felt humiliated and embarrassed,” they continued. “Jono and Ellie are still together now and very happy.”
Ellie and Jono are yet to comment on the cheating scandal, but the bride told Yahoo! Lifestyle that her eyes were only ever on her hubby, Ben.
“I’m just so grateful to have such a great match. We got along like a house on fire, so my eyes were not straying,” she dished. And sure, Jan!

To make matters worse, Jonathan and Ellie haven’t exactly been discreet.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the pair were both at The Espy in Melbourne’s St Kilda on December 27 after the duo posted near-identical snaps just one day apart.
“Looking forward to 2024 like,” Ellie captioned her post, whilst Jono captioned his: “Melbourne on a sunny day is epic”.
Yahoo! Lifestyle also obtained some snaps of Jonathan attending Ellie’s work Christmas party in December.
For context, filming wrapped in October 2023, and the reunion was shot in November. So it looks like Ellie and Jonathan’s original marriages are well and truly dunzo! Spoiler alert!

This comes after Ellie and Jonathan threatened to “ruin the whole show” by publicly appearing at Burleigh Pavilion on the Gold Coast in December, reports Yahoo! Lifestyle.
According to a source, Nine is implementing new plans to “silence” the MAFS couple following their “bold move”.
“They must know they are breaking their signed agreement with the Nine Network,” the insider told the outlet. Yikes!
