Ben Walters has been confirmed as a groom for Married at First Sight Australia 2024 after he was axed from the next season of The Bachelors Australia.
ICYMI: So Dramatic! previously reported that the Newcastle-based tour director had been tapped for Ten’s second three-lead Bachie season.
However, upon the *official* cast announcement, Ben was nowhere to be found!
Then, sources told us that MAFS producers had been blowing up his phone to appear in the 11th season.
“He just posted to his FB that he is trying to offload an international holiday for two because he can no longer make it,” they added. “The holiday is the same dates for when filming for MAFS is due to start.
“This guy is so desperate for his 15 mins of fame… It looks like this year his wish is coming true.”
It’s since been confirmed that the 40-year-old will, in fact, appear in Married at First Sight 2024 after he was spotted filming the series in Sydney on July 19.

As all budding reality stars do, Ben has links to former Married at First Sight participants.
So Dramatic! previously uncovered that the incoming groom knows two-time TV bride Lizzie Sobinoff.

Ben also boasts thousands of fans across social media, including over 4,800 followers on TikTok.
His YouTube account, which shares travel videos, has amassed over 24,350 views.
He even has a podcast — Get Lost with a Travel Guide — which seems to be a prerequisite for MAFS stars these days!
Ben joins a number of Married at First Sight 2024 participants who have already been outed.
This includes former AFL WAG Lauren Dunn, and 2022 groom Mitch Eynaud‘s brother, Jayden.
