Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jonathan McCullough failed to defend Lauren Dunn against Jack Dunkley‘s “muzzle” comment because he reportedly “had dirt” on the groom.
ICYMI: Jonathan has been raked over the coals for not defending and backing up his TV wife at the February 21 dinner party after Jack told him to “put a muzzle on [his] woman”.
The 39-year-old also didn’t call Jack out for saying he wasn’t attracted to Tori Adams, despite hearing it from the horse’s mouth and sharing it with Lauren.

While fans and the experts were appalled at Jonathan’s cowardice, it’s been revealed that there was a reason he was so easy to succumb to Jack’s denial.
As reported in episode 357 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Jonathan “was worried Jack would expose him for things he had also told him in confidence”.
“Jack had dirt on Jono, that’s why he never backed Lauren up,” one participant explained. “He was worried he would turn around and expose him in retaliation.”

Despite the general consensus being that Jack was at fault during the “muzzle” comment debacle, sources say Jonathan apologised to his buddy TWICE for the way Lauren conducted herself.
“Jono followed Jack out of the dinner party with some of the other boys to console him and calm him down,” one participant recalled.
“During that moment, Jono apologised to Jack for Lauren’s behaviour. He completely threw her under the bus”
They continued: “Then he apologised to Jack and Tori again at the Commitment Ceremony the following night.
“Not to mention, he never got up and followed Lauren out when she walked out of the dinner party upset.”
Now that we’ve heard this, we don’t think John Aiken ripped into him hard enough!
