FBOY Island host Abbie Chatfield has reportedly lost over $500,000 in under a year after “shifting” her priorities and we back this!
ICYMI: Back in July, The Bachelor breakout star admitted she had a “real addiction to work” after spending time in Thailand at RAKxa Wellness retreat. As a result, she said she’d “reprioritise” and put her energy into projects she loved.
Since choosing to “be easy on [herself]“, the reality star has walked away from opportunities that would’ve made her around $500,000, reports Yahoo! Lifestyle!.
What business opportunities did Abbie Chatfield walk away from?
Despite signing contracts with publishers, Abbie told her It’s A Lot listeners that she no longer wanted to write the “entry-level handbook for young feminists” back in March.
“I tried to write but I couldn’t write anything, I couldn’t force it,” the 28-year-old explained.
According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, a first-time author with a HUGE following like Abbie’s would’ve bagged between $100,000 to $150,000 for this project. Wowza.
The Masked Singer panellist also slowed down her clothing label, Verbose, in May.
“I’ve been too busy to do a clothing brand properly right now,” she said. “There’s nothing dramatic, it’s just that I haven’t even had time to call my mum, let alone run a label.” And fair enough!
On top of this, the podcast host quit her Hot Nights With Abbie Chatfield radio gig, telling followers she’d rather put her energy into “projects that bring [her] joy”.
“Abbie easily would have made $300,000 from the show, plus tens of thousands more on top of that,” an insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
Lastly, Abbie stepped down as the host of Fridayz Live in October after allegations of sexual harassment circulated against headliner Jason Derulo.
Despite walking away from numerous opportunities, the powerhouse will be back to host FBOY Island in 2024. She also continues to host her wildly popular podcast, It’s A Lot.
