Abbie Chatfield has returned to Instagram after a short hiatus, confessing to her fans she has “realised” she “needs to change”.

The FBOY Island Australia host has been notably absent from her typically very active Instagram page after filming The Masked Singer Australia 2023 wrapped in recent weeks.

Taking to the ‘gram on July 17, the 28-year-old apologised for being “gone” alongside a series of holiday snaps tagged at RAKxa Wellness retreat in Thailand.

“Reprioritising things and have realised I need to change,” she wrote. “Hopefully I can actually listen to my body and mind and stick to what I’ve promised myself.”

The Masked Singer panellist added that she has “been gaining clarity on what actually matters”, having had “minimal distractions”.

“Being easy on myself,” she concluded, noting that she will “explain a bit more” in an upcoming episode of her It’s a Lot podcast.

After starring in two reality series this year, touring the country with her live podcast show and hosting a national radio program, the 27-year-old confessed the ride is “f*cking fun… until it isn’t”.

“Lately my mental health has been the worst it has been in years. The first quarter of the year brought a level of work stress that I had never experienced,” she said at the time.

Stating that she “won’t go into details”, Abbie confessed the pressure resulted in her having relentless “dark thoughts”.

While she admits that she’s “so beyond lucky to do what [she does] for work”, Abbie said she’s “breaking”.

“I’m on the verge of tears at all times. If one thing goes wrong the flood gates open,” she added. “I have so much pressure on me all the time to be fun or entertaining or at the very least have something of value to say.

“It’s draining. Physically and mentally.”
