Abbie Chatfield‘s producer, Oscar Gordon, has defended the reality star amid speculation she’s going to stop making her podcast, It’s A Lot.

ICYMI: Industry sources recently told So Dramatic! the 28-year-old had plans to step away from her acclaimed pod to focus on radio and TV stints.

The claims came as Abbie revealed she was suffering from burnout and had been in Thailand at a wellness retreat.

Now, her producer has slammed reports that It’s A Lot is dunzo, highlighting that she’s a “true talent”.

“I just wanted to share how incredibly fortunate I am to work with Abbie Chatfield,” Oscar penned on his Instagram Story. “Over the past two years on the successful, It’s a Lot podcast, it has been an absolute privilege to work with her and the entire team.

“Abbie is not only brilliant and professional, but she’s also genuinely caring, FUN and FUNNY.”

He went on to say that “recording the pod is the highlight of [his] week”.

“I not only learn so much but legit find myself laughing to the point where my stomach hurts. Abbie’s intelligence shines through in her ability to articulate complex concepts effortlessly,” Oscar continued.

“She fearlessly stands up for those who are marginalised in society, and her commitment to creating a platform where important discussions can take place is inspiring.”

He concluded: “She makes the most serious topics engaging and has an innate talent for storytelling. A true talent and a bloody good human.”

What have insiders said about Abbie Chatfield’s career moving forward?

As reported in episode 304 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Abbie allegedly has plans to finish up her pod by the end of 2023.

“Abbie is completely over her podcast,” one industry insider claimed. “She’s lost all inspiration and motivation for it.”

“She’s not enjoying it anymore and it’s starting to feel like a chore she’s resenting.”

The source added that her podcast network, LiSTNR, has been “putting pressure” on the reality star following criticism from fans that “her content isn’t as good as it once was”.

However, on July 15, Abbie returned to social media following a short hiatus and also released a podcast episode explaining her absence.

“I’ve been absolutely depleted and burnt out from the start of the year,” she said. “I’ve realised that my priorities need to shift, as I’ve taken on so many jobs and I’m trying to figure out what I do and don’t want to do.”

Abbie also noted that she plans to “reprioritise things so that my podcast is my main priority”.

However, sources say this isn’t exactly true, alleging the FBOY Island Australia host is “pushing for a breakfast radio spot” instead.
