WAG Bec Judd has shared the devastating reason she decided to compete on The Amazing Race Australia 2023.

ICYMI: the global-trotting reality series is back yet again, though this time with a cast complete with celebrities (and yes, we use that term loosely).

The model and wife of footballer Chris Judd has told Channel Ten that she’s competing on the game show to pay tribute to her friend Nicole Cooper who died of bowel cancer in January.

The 40-year-old businesswoman and media personality is teaming up with her sister Kate Twigley for their chance to win a whopping $100k for their chosen charity.

In their The Amazing Race bio, the pair revealed that they’ll be racing on behalf of the foundation set up by their late friend: Impatient Advocacy — A Nicole Cooper Foundation.

“Nicole was a staunch advocate for cancer patients. Her foundation continues her amazing work in ensuring others with cancer have better treatment, support, and options in their fight,” Bec explained.

Who else is on The Amazing Race 2023?

In the first-ever celebrity edition of the show, Bec and Kate will be joined by 10 star-studded duos as they race to win a fat cheque for a charity of their choice.

These names include Too Hot to Handle’s Harry Jowsey and Love Island’s Teddy Briggs, Survivor’s George Mladenov and his sister Pamela, I’m a Celebrity’s Alli Simpson and her mum Angie and The Voice‘s Darren McMullen and his nephew Tristan Douganfor.

Joining them will be Dancing with the StarsGrant Denyer and his wife Chezzi, former Wiggle Amy Watkins and her sister Hayley, musician Ben Gillies and wife Jackie will also be joining the race, and Australian Commonwealth Gold Medallist and former Olympic athlete Jana Pittman and her son Cornel.

Two comedians will also be racing to win, as the line-up includes Dan Simpson and his dad Bow and Peter Rowsthorn and his daughter Frankie. Now that’s an impressive cast!

Keep your eyes peeled, because The Amazing Race is coming soon to Channel 10 and 10play.
