The Amazing Race Australia 2022 has found its winning team, and no one deserved it more than husband and wife duo Heath Curry and Toni Hilland.

During the October 9 finale, Team Memory Makers were the first to reach the final pit stop, winning a YUGE $250k and two brand-spanking new cars.

“If anyone deserves it, it’s you guys. You’ve been the best team this season by a long way,” host Beau Ryan told the pair upon their arrival.

The win was bitter-sweet for the Victorian pair, as Toni is battling terminal breast cancer.

Once they’d reached Beau and their very excited former running mates, Heath called his wife an “inspiration” before revealing that she was his “world”.

“Oh, mate, she is my world,” he said. “I hate that cancer is gonna tear us apart, but we wanted to make memories, and we’ve done that.”

“I just think it’s absolutely phenomenal that someone who’s going through what she’s going through has come out here and just… we won The Amazing Race, baby!”

As for Toni, she was glad her husband encouraged them to do the show.

“I’m so glad that he kind of encouraged us to apply to come on this show because it’s been amazing. Time is so precious.”

Queenslanders Angel Williams and Francis “Frankie” Vaaua came in second on The Amazing Race Australia 2022, while newlyweds Kelly and Georgia took out third.

Congratulations to the top three teams!
