Abbie Chatfield‘s former radio co-host Rohan Edwards has finally spoken out about his abrupt exit from Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield.
In April, the broadcaster suddenly left Hot Nights to “pursue other interests“, causing many to speculate that he had beef with the 28-year-old reality star.
On June 5, Rohan took to Instagram to address his shock departure from the show.
“I should’ve probably said something earlier. But thank you to the people who have messaged me with love and checked up on ya boy over the last couple of months,” the DJ wrote.
“Life out of radio has been pretty weird and I’ve had a million different emotions about everything. But it’s also been really refreshing and things are on the up,” he added.
Rohan then revealed that he was seeking a career change.
“I’m getting really excited about the idea of doing something new and finding another passion,” he continued.
“I’m not finished. I haven’t stopped creating, and I’m still driven to succeed.”
Ahh, is this the real reason Rohan quit Hot Nights?
Former Hot Nights personality Nic Kelly took to the comments section to share his support for Rohan.
“Love you mate. Go get ‘em big horse x,” Nic wrote.
Nic was the third staff member to quit Hot Nights on a whim, causing people to question WTAF was going on behind the scenes.
However, a spokesperson for Southern Cross Australia confirmed that the radio host had quit to pursue his own projects.
Rohan Edwards threw some not-so-subtle shade after quitting Hot Nights
This comes after Rohan posted a cryptic Instagram Story shortly after quitting Hot Nights.
On April 24, Rohan shared a meme that read: “Quit hanging out with people who don’t want you to win” and many fans were quick to believe it might be aimed at Abbie.
To make things even more confusing, one source told an outlet that Rohan’s departure came as a shock as he “[got] along well” with Abbie.
“No one’s sure what’s going on. Abbie seems to get along well with Rohan on the air, but people are wondering if things aren’t so rosy behind the scenes,” they dished.
Well, it appears things aren’t as fishy as they seemed! But who was that Instagram Story aimed at? We need to know!
