Former The Bachelorette Australia 2021’s Konrad Bien-Stephen‘s has revealed his surprising career change from reality TV to acting.
Konrad starred on Brooke Blurton‘s season of The Bachelorette and went back for more air time to compete in The Challange Australia 2022. But the 32-year-old admitted he’d be happy if he “never” does reality TV again.
“My experience on The Bachelorette was very wholesome and very lovely, and then The Challenge was this mental mindf**k of a game,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“So after doing The Challenge I was like, ‘I’ll never do reality TV again'”.
But he’s not ready to step away from the spotlight just yet.

In a move no one expected, the carpenter has been accepted into NIDA‘s studio acting course in Melbourne.
“I really enjoy productions and I like being a part of that whole environment, from hair and makeup and filming to talking to the runners and the producers and all that sort of stuff,” he dished.
“I would really love to do more scripted stuff or hosting.”
The prestigious school has seen the likes of Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving and Mel Gibson walk through its doors, and Konrad hopes to follow suit.
Although he said acting is just a “little hobby” at the moment.
“It’s really fun… maybe one day I can do some sort of acting or hosting,” he said
Or even a role on Home and Away as “one of the next River Boys”.
The Bachelorette‘s Konrad Bien-Stephen’s rise to fame
Konrad rose to fame on The Bachelorette and although he didn’t win Brooke’s heart, he did catch the eye of fellow Bachie alum Abbie Chatfield.
Abbie and Konrad were in a very publicised relationship for 10 months in 2021 before going their separate ways. And let’s not forget his steamy on-screen hook-up with Challenge co-star Megan Marx.
In January this year, Konrad went Instagram official with singer and Gamilaraay woman, Thelma Plum, confirming months of rumours the pair were dating.
Who knows, maybe Kondrad can test out his acting skills in his girlfriend’s video clips?
