Brooke Blurton has confessed how she really feels about her history-making season of The Bachelorette Australia 2021.

As the first-ever bisexual and First Nations lead, the 27-year-old paved the way for change and inclusion in the popular Channel Ten franchise.

However, Brooke has taken to her Instagram Story to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her Bachelorette finale with a brutal home truth about her experience.

“So I was actually thinking about The Bachelorette with it being a year since the finale, and I was thinking, ‘Wow’,” she said. “On a global scale, amazing, great. Progression levels, great.

“In terms of entertainment value, did I provide it? Absolutely f*cking not. I think I was the sh*ttest Bachelorette.”

Brooke, who previously appeared on The Bachelor 2018 and Bachelor In Paradise 2019, said that the audience’s low viewership reflected her “entertainment value”. At the time, The Bachelorette premiered to just 397,000 viewers, with the finale reaching even less.

“Like yeah, the ratings will probably tell you otherwise — actually, no, they’ll tell you that I was pretty sh*t,” she noted.

“Actually, I did win the youth category; that’s all that counts for me. But I was so sh*t.”

The youth worker explained that during filming, she was “sleep deprived” due to being “worked like a dog”.

“I just can’t believe I got through that whole thing and still found someone in the end. Not with them now, but I just can’t believe it,” she said of final pick Darvid Garayeli, whom she split from in January 2022.

“I’m definitely not built for something like that, and I think still to this day that I was the sh*ttest Bachelorette. That’s not very positive, but I still think that.”

Brooke Blurton Recently Celebrating the Year That’s Passed Since The Bachelorette Australia 2021

Brooke’s confession follows the TV star’s lengthy Story on Instagram that celebrated all she has achieved in the year that’s passed since The Bachelorette 2021.

“Today it has been a year since @bacheloretteau finale, and can I just say. What a year,” she wrote. “But thank you.

“Thank you to everyone who still stood by me in the chaos, the ups, the breakdowns, my book. EVERYTHING!”

She continued by adding that she’s “very proud” she made the strides she did as a bisexual and First Nations lead.

“As much as that chapter has come to a full close. Representation, inclusivity, diversity STILL MATTERS. That chapter won’t ever stop,” she concluded.

“One day, I will find my person, but right now, I’m happy dating myself.”

The final revelation comes following intense speculation that she’s dating Melbourne radio producer Sam McGinn after her posted that he’d “snagged” her as a girlfriend in September.

However, Brooke has continued to deny her romantic involvement with him.
