Brooke Blurton has thrown major shade at her co-stars on The Challenge Australia, and first up in her line of fire are Brittany Hockley and Konrad-Bien Stephens.
Spilling all the tea in an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle on December 13, the 27-year-old didn’t hold back when it came to dishing out what she really thought about the other contestants – particularly, her fellow Bachelor alum.
“I wanted to do The Challenge to do The Challenge,” she says. “I didn’t go to do The Bachelor again or do a remake of Bachelor In Paradise, that’s not what I came for,” the former Bachelorette said.
“I wanted to reclaim who Brooke Blurton was, so I didn’t want to be affiliated with them,” she said of the “Bachelor alliance” on The Challenge Australia and wow, tell us how you really feel!
“I got dragged into it so many times, but I made a conscious effort and a conscious decision that I wanted to go into The Challenge just being Brooke Blurton, not Brooke Blurton from The Bachelorette,” she explained.
Brooke Blurton says she and Brittany Hockley are “just two different people”
Despite being pals with many contestants who competed alongside her on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, one competitor she wasn’t overly keen to see again was Brittany Hockley.
“In the four years that I’ve known her I definitely don’t think that I’ve seen a lot of change of a person,” Brooke said of the current Kyle and Jackie O co-host.
She continued, “I didn’t really have a strong friendship with her, not because I didn’t want to but because we’re just two different people.”
“You can’t please everyone, and I don’t really strive to please people because not everyone’s gonna like me, and that’s okay.”
“Even though we were top four in The Bachelor, we were at that stage friends, but I feel like we’re just two people that work in the industry and that’s it.”
Brooke Blurton says she’s not friends with Konrad-Bien Stephens
“I have a lot of respect for Konrad,” Brooke says of the man who vyed for her heart on The Bachelorette.
“I lost it obviously when he and Abbie [Chatfield] decided to do me dirty post-Bachelorette, and that was also quite heartbreaking for me, especially with my friend having no consideration about what The Bachelorette season meant,” she dished.
She continued that while she “actually don’t really know him personally on a personal level”, she believes Konrad is “a good guy.”
“Our relationship was, I wouldn’t say friends, but I would definitely say that we worked really well together as partners in The Challenge and we just kind of left it at that.”
Take from that what you will…
