Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Cameron Woods has confirmed that he’s taking a year off his remote work to travel with his new girlfriend. And yes, we’re just as shocked as you.

During an interview with Nine on April 5, the former groom announced that he met a woman in Darwin and the pair are “really happy” together.

We got our hands on this tea back in March, as one insider spilled that the carpenter posted some snaps to Instagram with his new girlfriend.

“He’s got a new girlfriend now. A brunette covered in tattoos,” the source told So Dramatic!.

“He recently posted a photo of her out for dinner watching the sunset in Perth.”

The 27-year-old confessed that his on-screen wife Lyndall Grace was “not aware” of his new relationship, and we’re hardly surprised. This man is notorious for having ZERO communication skills.

Lyndall is not aware, no. I kept that one quiet. I think she’d be happy for me, I think she’d be happy. I hope so.”

Cameron then explained how he met his new girlfriend.

“I met her at a knock-off do, all us boys knocked off work for the year and we went down to the local watering hole.

“She walked in, and we really hit it off from there,” he dished.

“We’re sitting happy. It’s someone I can be myself [around], I can be normal, I don’t have to be someone I’m not.”

He also shared that he doesn’t have to “talk about feelings every two seconds,” with his new bae, and it sounds like he’s found himself a lovely robot!

Cameron is changing his remote work schedule for his new girlfriend

Cameron confessed he’s planning to travel for “about a year” with his new girlfriend. But what about his intense remote working schedule?

“She’s decked out this van, it’s f–king ridiculous. So I’m taking the cruiser, the trailer. I’ll pick up some work along the way, but we’ll just go travelling for about a year,” he said.

Cameron also travelled to Perth to spend time with his girlfriend’s family. Whilst he was there, he introduced her to his co-stars Janelle Han and Jesse Burford and they all got along “really well”.

This comes after Cameron was slammed for telling Lyndall not to move to Darwin as his remote work would send him “out bush” for up to TWO years at a time. He was also very resistant when it came to changing his schedule.

When asked if he’d been doing much remote work since the show, Cameron replied: “I’ve probably done five weeks in a row… It depends.

“I can be gone for two, I can be gone for five. It just depends on what project I’m on.”

His story keeps changing! Sounds like a crock of sh*t if you ask us…
