Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Harrison Boon‘s ex-fiancée and mother of his son, August, has hit back at his sensational claims that she cheated on him.
As fans of the marriage experiment know, the groom has a true knack for bending the truth, with his flair for exaggeration shining through on the show.
While she originally declined host Megan Pustetto‘s request to appear on the So Dramatic! podcast, Harrison’s ex, Sophie, changed her mind after Harrison’s explosive interview on the Sit With Us podcast, hosted by MAFS alumni, Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding.
On the pod, Harrison claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic put a lot of “strain” on the couple’s relationship as he tried to find work as a sub-contractor to support Sophie, who was a “stay-at-home mum” to August.
While the controversial reality star alleged he was working tirelessly to “keep a roof over [their] heads”, his ex “went looking for love and affection elsewhere”.
He claimed to have discovered Sophie had been “cheating” on him with her “high school boyfriend” after they’d split two years into their engagement.
“In the process of sort of helping her move out of our shared house, I went on her computer just to send some work invoicing,” he recalled.
“The Instagram icon popped up and that’s when I read all the messages to some other guy and I found out that she’d been cheating on me.”

In an exclusive two-part So Dramatic! podcast interview, Sophie said she was “blindsided” by Harrison’s tell-all.
This was due to the couple agreeing not to discuss each other with “any media” in order to protect their son.
Now, she’s bared all, hitting back and revealing she was “never” unfaithful to the builder, whom she knows as “Harry”.
“I have never, ever cheated on Harry,” Sophie expressed. “And I will say this to the day I die.”
While she shot down her ex’s allegations that he has “evidence” she was stepping out on him, Sophie said she had, in fact, been in contact with her high school boyfriend.
However, it wasn’t until the pair had split up and Sophie had relocated to her hometown of Forbes, NSW, that they’d rekindled contact.
“Two weeks later, I went out with a couple of my girlfriends and I put a photo… on my Instagram Story,” she recalled. “I get a response from a guy I used to date back in high school.
“It was just a friendly response… Then I’d said, ‘Oh, I’ve broken up with my ex’, and we just started chatting.”
Sophie then said she didn’t have a laptop at the time, so Harrison used his device to “somehow [go] on [her] Instagram”.
“I don’t know if he had my password, I might have been logged in. I don’t know,” she said.

It wasn’t long before Harrison sent screenshots of the conversation to Sophie, accusing her of being a cheater.
“[Harrison said], ‘I can’t believe you left me for this guy, you’ve been cheating on me’,” she said. “It doesn’t add up. We started chatting two weeks after… I haven’t even met up with this guy that he’s saying I cheated on him with.
“I’ve never even seen him since before Harry and I were together.”
According to Sophie, Harrison was keen on making some bank by selling the screenshots to the press.
“He has, to this day, threatened me with those messages, to say, ‘Well, I will show the messages because they will pay’,” she explained.
“He was like, ‘If you ever talk about this, I’m gonna send these messages and show them to everyone that you’re cheating on me with this guy’.”
Based on his Reunion antics, we gotta say Harrison loves to show up with lacklustre receipts!
Sophie also claimed Harrison was “mixing” up stories to generate a stronger front against his former partner.
“We went on a holiday two weeks prior and I put a photo of me at the beach, and a guy replied to it,” she said. “Then he’s mixing his stories up, saying that this was the same guy that was talking to me [on Instagram] at the pub in Forbes.
“It was just a random guy that replied to a Story. Now he’s mixing his story [saying], ‘See, it did happen and it happened two weeks before’.”

In his Sit With Us interview, Harrison said he struggled with being the breadwinner in his relationship with Sophie, particularly as she wasn’t a “self-starter”.
However, Sophie has been a long-time beauty therapist, revealing to Megan that she was still operating her business virtually through the pandemic.
“I wasn’t running my business with the services, but I did have my website, selling all my products,” she explained.
While she was on maternity leave for the first portion of COVID, Sophie said Harrison “never supported” her as she was still making bank with her website.
“I was on Instagram full-time, selling all my products, doing the daily life of me putting makeup on, doing my skincare… to support myself,” she recalled.
“I was still paying half the rent, I was still paying half the groceries, I was paying all half of everything.”
Noting Harrison’s disparagement of her work ethic was one of the “main reasons” she wanted to speak up, Sophie said she’s “always supported herself”.
“I live on my own now, I support me and August, and then for him to go on that podcast and say that he supported me, that ‘she’s not a self-starter’…
“I’m like, ‘Are you serious?'”
During the explosive interview, Sophie also made a number of other damning allegations about her relationship with Harrison.
