Married at First Sight Australia fans unanimously agree that 2023’s golden couple Ollie Skelton and Tahnee Cook are the only redeemable relationship in a sea of toxic AF pairings.

During the March 19 episode, the 26-year-old voiceover artist single-handedly proved there is some hope left for the cis-male population, as he openly recognised and addressed his own insecurities at the Commitment Ceremony.

“We had a doozy [this week]. I personally had a doozy, I would say. I really struggled,” Ollie admitted.

Tahnee said of the Partner Swap Challenge: “I thought it was a fun task. I had a great time with Rupert [Budgen]. But when I came back, Ollie was really weird.”

“I was really passive. I was just giving her nothing,” Ollie agreed.

Tahnee revealed that she was “confused” because she had “never really seen Ollie like that before”,

“[The Partner Swap Challenge] made me go, ‘oh shit, I’ve got these insecurities. I wanted to be the one spending that time with Tahnee. It made me second guess whether I’d done enough as a partner,” Ollie explained.

He continued: “I wasn’t sure] that I was good enough; I think I feel that in every facet of life, quite a bit of the time,” Ollie said.

He went on to confirm that he had “probably” felt the same way in previous relationships.

“Ollie, you are more than good enough for me so please don’t think that way,” Tahnee reminded him.

Fans were quick to praise MAFS 2023’s youngest participants for their emotional maturity. It’s just a shame it hasn’t rubbed off on the rest of the cast…

With the “experts” watching on like proud parents, Ollie confirmed that the outcome of the partner-swapping challenge made him feel “the closest [he’d] been to Tahnee”.

“My feelings have been even more confirmed… I think this lovely woman is the absolute tops,” Ollie said.

He told Tahnee: “You know when I say that, I’m about ya. I like you so much. I think you obviously know that [sic].”

Tahnee agreed that the challenge allowed them to improve their communication about their feelings for each other

“We did it in other ways but we didn’t flat out say, ‘I really like you’. Since then, we have been sharing that even more and have been saying that quite regularly.

“I think it really brought us together, in a sense, having that kind of reaffirming communication,” she said.

Just like the experts, MAFS fans were in awe of how healthy and wholesome Tahnee and Ollie’s relationship was.

Some viewers praised the couple for being a breath of fresh air amid the slew of toxic masculinity. Others were just happy that the wholesome couple actually got some screen time!

Many more predicted that Ollie and Tahnee would be the only lasting relationship from the 2023 season. Let’s hope so!

Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Ollie Skelton speaks out against Harrison Boon

Of course, it wouldn’t be a MAFS 2023 Commitment Ceremony without Harrison Boon causing every woman in the room (and everybody watching at home) to roll their eyes collectively.

The serial gaslighter and his controversial TV wife Bronte Schofield dragged on their tired and overdone plot-line by writing “stay” once again.

Reigning call-out queen Melinda Willis was quick to remind Harrison that he had told the group he would be “unequivocally writing leave” just days earlier.

Harrison claimed that leaving would be an easy out but staying “married” would force him to work on their issues (and fans to watch their fame-hungry faces for yet another week).

Excited to see his wife’s hometown of Perth, Harrison said: “I want more context to who Bronte is as a person.”

But our new favourite person, Ollie, decided it was time to break away from the “don’t dog the boys” mentality.

“Harry, did you not say at the boys’ night that you didn’t want to go to Perth at all,” he asked.
