Bronte Schofield’s leaked diary cam and text messages to her mum have revealed how she really felt about the Married at First Sight Australia 2023 Partner Swap task.
ICYMI: The explosive challenge saw the 28-year-old’s on-screen husband Harrison Boon spend three days living with bride Melinda Willis, whilst Bronte was essentially left alone after Layton Mills refused to participate.
As revealed in episode 268 of the So Dramatic! podcast, diary cam recordings exclusively obtained by So Dramatic! and taken during the controversial task, detail Bronte’s true reaction to the situation.
“I’m currently husbandless times two,” she started off in the candid video. “Harrison’s obviously moved in with Melinda for the next three days and Layton came over today to explain to me that he was not comfortable moving in with me.
“Not just because it’s me as a person but because of the entire task in general – which is absolutely fine, I respected that completely.”
Bronte explained that she also felt “uncomfortable” about the task but was willing to “delve into it regardless.”
She went on to say that she and Layton were both “confused” after he walked back into his room to find Melinda and Harrison getting along which was completely at odds with their previous interactions.
“Two people that claimed to absolutely despise each other are sitting there laughing and having a tea… while I’m alone,” she said.
“If I know Harrison the way that I think I do, I know he would just be trying to keep the peace and make it through these next few days.
“Layton said that Harrison was [Melissa’s] most-hated person on the planet so maybe she’s just doing the same thing. I hope so.”

The Perth-based beauty said the “ideal outcome” would be for them to “become friends” and “civil” to make the remainder of the experiment “a little easier on everyone.”
“I guess there’s nothing much for me to really do other than delve into the tasks when Layton decides to come over and do them with me and I will speak to Harrison in a few days and hopefully they’re both in one piece,” she concluded.
Bronte’s leaked messages to her mum reveal she felt ‘stupid’ for staying on Married at First Sight
So Dramatic! has also obtained leaked messages exchanged between Bronte and her mother Sue Schofield during the Partner Swap task.
“I just want Harrison here not another guy… Him and I genuinely were getting along again,” she confided to her mum, adding, “I hate being alone.”
Sue then asked why Harrison agreed to the task, and Bronte explained that “he didn’t think he had a choice.”
“But deep down I know he knows you do. He could’ve said no. I just feel stupid,” she said.
Sue stated that she thinks Harrison wanted to do the task to “redeem himself” before telling Bronte it’s “time now to come home.”
She also told her daughter that Harrison was “not a good man” and he just wants to “hurt you.”
However, Bronte said that she felt “dumb” and “stupid” for “letting her walls down”.
“I just want this all to be done,” she wrote.
“You need to stand tall and don’t let him get under your skin. His using you and don’t let him touch you [sic],” Sue advised her daughter. “Hopefully you don’t look like the fool.”
Bronte replied: “Guarantee you I will. He will look like the guy who played me. I’ll be the victim.
Sue wrote back, “He will be hated”, and Bronte replied, “100% he will [be hated].”
Bronte concluded by saying, “[The producers] will never let Harrison and I go.”
