They may appear all sunshine and roses but Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton nearly called it quits after the partner swap task.
ICYMI: The experts actually condoned switcheroos this season, which was cause for a bunch of drama when the participants shacked up with another co-star for a few days.
While fans have been privy to the absolute carnage the experience wreaked on Melinda Willis and Layton Mills‘ marriage, it turns out it had a yuge impact on their fellow married couples, too.
According to one MAFS insider, the CEO boss babes weren’t the only duo to live in separate rooms after the task.
“Tahnee and Ollie even were,” they dished.
What happened between Ollie Skelton and Tahnee Cook?
While the final edit “just didn’t show it”, the source revealed that the series’ one “perfect” couple “almost split” over the unorthodox activity.
For context: Ollie was matched with Lyndall Grace, while Tahnee was living with Rupert Bugden.
So, what the actual f*ck went down for everyone’s fave duo to falter?
According to our insider, “the swap upset Ollie”, and all will be revealed in the Commitment Ceremony airing on March 19.
“Ollie is good friends with Rupert and he felt jealous and was worried Tahnee would like him more,” they explained.
“They couldn’t communicate over it so they fought and spent the night apart.”
Obviously, it’s nothing too catastrophic because we all know that Ollie and Tahnee are still together to this day, thanks to some top-notch intel from our So Dramatic! super spies.
Yup, one fan slid into our DMs to dish that they spotted the pair looking “very coupley” while waiting for a train in Sydney.
“Ollie and Tahnee about a metre from me waiting for a train to Bondi in Town Hall,” our source reported.
That intel flies, as Tahnee currently lives in Bondi.
They continued: “Now they’re sitting directly in front of me. I’m too much of a chicken to take a snap but they look very coupley. They’re putting their heads on each other’s shoulders.”
Phew, thank f*ck we’ve copped ONE strong couple this season…
