Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Oliver “Ollie” Skelton and Tahnee Cook made the shocking discovery on their wedding day that their families are related.
The loved-up TV couple discovered the bizarre connection during their wedding reception after guests from both sides of the alter recognised each other. AWKS!
“Tahnee’s sister’s husband is Ollie’s second cousin,” an insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
But never fear! They’re not related by blood. Phew!
“Although, they’re not blood-related or anything like that. Technically, they are distant relatives in a weird way. A lot of the cast would joke about it,” the source revealed.
But we apparently won’t see this weird AF storyline play out on TV.
“They laughed about this a few times during filming, but it probably won’t be aired as Channel Nine won’t want people spinning it into an incest-style headline scandal,” the insider said.

Weird familial connections aside, Married at First Sight fans have dubbed Ollie and Tahnee as the most wholesome couple of 2023.
During the February 7 episode, countless viewers took to Twitter to beg MAFS showrunners to give them more Ollie and Tahnee content, especially as villains Harrison Boon and Jesse Burford continue to dominate airtime.
It would be so nice if we got more relationships like Ollie and Tahnee but come on, MAFS thrives off toxicity.
