Married at First Sight Australia fans suspect the 2023 season may have suffered “major budget cuts” after a telling clue in the latest promo pictures.
An eagle-eyed viewer theorised that the poorly edited quality of the pictures proved that MAFS showrunners didn’t have the time or money they would usually spend on the show.
In the infamous Tea Time group on Facebook, Married at First Sight fans pointed out that the promo photos appeared to be primarily unedited and had an unappealing cool tone.

In particular, Tahnee Cook, Bronte Schofield and Harrison Boon looked pretty rough in the promo pictures, especially compared to fan-edited, colour-corrected versions.
“So the new MAFS cast has been announced and I’m predicting major budget cuts have been made to the show,” the fan wrote.
She continued: “All their photos haven’t been colour corrected and they look like they are frozen.”
Other fans were quick to agree and were shocked at the stark contrast between the fan-edited pics and what was released to the public by Nine.
“Wow yeah, I’m kinda shocked that they put those images out?” one user admitted. “Your colour corrections look so much better.”
Another fan penned: “OMG the audacity of Channel 9!”
“They just straight uploaded the raw images haha yikes,” a third said.
Let’s just hope they haven’t skimped out on the “explosive” drama they’ve been promising us this season!
