Married at First Sight Australia 2022’s Domenica Calarco has revealed how her legal case against her former co-star Olivia Frazer has progressed.

During an Instagram Q&A, the 29-year-old explained that the police investigation had been “unfortunately” stalled.

Image-based abuse is better known as “revenge porn”. It is described as “an intimate image or video that is shared without the consent of the person pictured”, according to the Australian Government eSafety Commissioner.

Olivia Frazer wasn’t legally required to speak to the police about Domenica Calarco’s official complaint

Domenica revealed that Olivia had the “legal right” not to talk to the police, so they couldn’t continue actively investigating the case until somebody “came forward“.

“The police are just still investigating it, which has gone on for a really long time. I did get a call two weeks ago from the police saying that at this stage, the investigation is stalled,” Domenica said.

She continued: “Olivia was contacted and she obviously just didn’t want to talk, which is her legal right… And without that evidence, they can’t go any further with the complaint.

“As of right now, I don’t think it will ever be closed. Unless someone comes forward with evidence and wants to talk, it’s at a standstill.”

Domenica also revealed that Olivia had her lawyer speak on her behalf, so there wasn’t any more that the police could do.

“Unfortunately, that’s where it’s at. The legal system is tough and it sucks sometimes, but that’s what happens.”
