A leaked spreadsheet detailing The Block 2022 teams’ spending habits has revealed that Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra spent $80,000 over budget with several weeks left in the competition.

Following Hallway Week — A.K.A “Hell Week” — a devout fan of the hit renovation show compiled the Blockheads’ expenditure to date. And well, it ain’t looking good for Shaz and Anks.

Reddit user cintropy unveiled that House Three are in debt of almost $82K, even though there are still four weeks left to complete (at the time of writing).

So far, the Melburnians have spent $295,915 on their build, offsetting the minute $16,000 they’ve won in challenges.

Despite Ankur literally being an accountant, he and Sharon have the worst financial sitch of all teams.

As it stands, they’re coming in at $81,915 in the red.

Also at the bottom of their money box are Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Malik, who are $52,437 over budget.

In contrast, Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath have succeeded their budget by just $6,530. Meanwhile, latecomers Rachel and Ryan Carr‘s debt is relatively tame at $14,102.

The only team not delving into the red is Tom Calleja and Sarah-Jane Wilson, who currently have upwards of $36K in the kitty.

The Block‘s Sharon and Ankur Were Repeatedly Warned About Their Budget

Recent promos for The Block have revealed that one team is set to have their funds cut off by host Scott Cam.

Shock horror: It’s Sharon and Ankur.

The TV mainstay told TV Week that he “had to step in” after they repeatedly blew their budget.

However, sources told So Dramatic! that this could’ve been avoided had House Three listened to their builders’ please to curb spending.

“[Builder] Liam was trying to be realistic with them about what Sharon and Ankur could achieve with their skill set, how much work they were willing to put in and their budget,” a source told So Dramatic!.

“They kept overspending the budget so he was also trying to keep things simple so that they could finish their house

“For example, they spent $60k on one room and it still wasn’t finished.”
