After nine weeks of top-tier drama, shoeys and wine glasses (both broken and full to the brim), Married at First Sight 2022 is finally coming to a close with the much-anticipated Final Vows ceremonies.
Following the spicy final dinner party, the couples bid farewell to the experiment and returned to their respective homes to think about whether they truly wanted to be with their expert-appointed baes.
For some, it’s a no-brainer but for others… Let’s just say they didn’t exactly get the memo.
As reported in episode 167 of the So Dramatic! podcast, host Megan Pustetto dished on what exactly goes down between each couple.
***SPOILER ALERT: It’s about to get messy AF.
Olivia Frazer and Jackson Lonie
As previously reported by So Dramatic!, ol’ mate Jackson Lonie has moved from his native Melbourne to be with Olivia Frazer on the Central Coast. So, shock horror — these two choose to stick together at their Final Vows.
However, one source spilled that their ceremony does have a bit of “dramatic” flair and well, it wouldn’t be MAFS without it.
“They make it all dramatic and like Jackson is going to leave Olivia because of her behaviour and his concerns,” the insider said. “It’s all just for drama… Of course they stay together.”
Tamara Djordjevic and Brent Vitiello
One couple that’s left us scratching our heads wondering how TF they’ve made it to the end is Tamara Djordjevic and Brent Vitiello. Turns out, some current contestants have been wondering the same thing.
“We all think the producers must have done stuff to get them to say,” one MAFS hopeful confessed. “There must have been more to why they stayed [because] it wasn’t making sense towards the end.”
According to the insider, Tamara apologised to Brent following his spectacular exit from the final dinner party but that was the beginning of the end for the pair.
“He stayed with her to the Final Vows because he wanted to say his piece, tell her everything he was feeling, how he really felt and what he really thinks of her,” they said, adding that he “dumps her at the Final Vows”.
They also revealed that Brent “does not hold back” and “goes savage” on his TV wife following weeks of tumultuous drama between the pair.
“He throws his vows on the floor and walks off,” the contestant dished. “It was his chance to say everything to her.
“It’s iconic.”
Selina Chhaur and Cody Bromley
Cody Bromley and Selina Chhaur have had an interesting relationship, to say the very least.
Despite the TV groom being a teenager trapped in the body of a 30-year-old and his affinity for putting his foot in it every chance he gets, he and Selina Chhaur choose to stay together at their Final Vows.
We just hope that their commitment to each other also means a commitment to never sleeping on those Batman bedsheets ever again.
Ella Ding and Mitch Eynaud
After a damning revelation from Mitch Eynaud at the final dinner party of the experiment, fans were left wondering where Ella Ding stood in their relationship.
Now, one insider has dished that Mitch “doesn’t commit” to his TV wife at the Final Vows and we wish we could say we were surprised.
“After their huge fight [at the dinner party] they stayed in separate rooms, so didn’t finish the experiment on a good note at all,” one contestant told So Dramatic!.
According to the current star, Ella wanted Mitch to “commit” and “make [their relationship] official”.
“Considering they were going to be living in different states, she wanted to know where she stood and what their plans for the future were,” they said.
Surprise, surprise — Mitch tells Ella that “he can’t give her what she wants right now”.
“He didn’t actually say no, but he didn’t actually say yes,” the source confessed. “He leaves it open.”
Accordingly, “Ella was heartbroken [because] she didn’t expect him to stay until the end and then turn around and say that to her,” the insider said. “She was left standing there upset just like, ‘OK then’.
Still, Ella continued to hold out hope.
The contestant dished: “She remained positive saying that she trusts the universe has mysterious ways of working out.”
Domenica Calarco and Jack Millar
The only saving grace Married at First Sight has seen this year is the relationship between Domenica Calarco and Jack Millar.
From her candidness to his willingness to be there for his bride no matter what, it seems like there’s nothing our Italian baes can’t overcome.
For those writhing on the edge of their seats in anticipation, we have some good news — Domenica and Jack DO stay together at their Final Vows ceremony.
“It was a no-brainer considering how much they went through during the experiment and how much they supported each other throughout,” one source revealed.
Adding that “they were a team from start to finish”, the insider said it was “beautiful to see them finish strong and united.”
Thank f*ck! BRB, going to celebrate with a fat bowl of pasta.
