Married at First Sight Australia 2022 intruder Dion Giannarelli has hit back at rumours that he had a secret girlfriend when he signed up for the experiment.
Another potential secret girlfriend scandal on MAFS? *GASP*!
Speaking to Yahoo! Lifestyle, the property developer disputed claims that he was actually in a relationship (on the DL) prior to his TV wedding with Carolina Santos.
The 33-year-old insisted that “no, that’s definitely not the case at all.”
“I was single when I entered the show and I was single when I signed up,” he added.
The singleton maintained that he and Carolina’s failed marriage was due to the host of other reasons that we have seen on-screen on MAFS and NOT Dion having a secret girlfriend.
Expressing his frustration, the groom further lamented: “I’m not too sure what those rumours are, but they are incorrect and I wouldn’t believe things that are in the media sometimes. It’s completely incorrect.”
Where Did Rumours of MAFS’ Dion’s Secret Girlfriend Come From?
Carolina and Dion’s MAFS journey has been an utter trainwreck.
On-screen, the bride has been at the centre of a cheating scandal alongside fellow intruder Daniel Holmes. However, recent rumours have been swirling that paint Dion out to be the original two-timer!
Allegedly, Carolina has accused Dion of having a “secret girlfriend” when he signed his life away to Married at First Sight.
According to the rumours, Carolina’s friends did some Insta-stalking and discovered a mystery blonde woman had been posting photos with the 2022 MAFS groom right up until September 6, 2021. This was around the same time that he would have been selected to take part in the experiment.
The 34-year-old allegedly confronted Dion about this when they were on the show together, but he dismissed her claims both at the time and now. The confrontation was never shown on TV.
So, we are left to ponder: Did Dion really have a secret girlfriend prior to MAFS or is this just a case of rumours and damage control? More to come…
