Leaked drone pics have exposed the truth about The Block 2024, and things aren’t as they seem!
This year, the Blockheads have been tasked with renovating a “run-down” resort in Victoria’s Phillip Island.
However, as revealed in episode 412 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one local resident has alleged that the resort wasn’t as shabby as it seemed.

“Scott [Cam] called it a run-down, abandoned resort. This is bullsh*t,” they dished.
“It was well established and still trading and had bookings in advance for 12 months before the extremely quick sale with Channel Nine.”
Drone footage shows the filming site in good condition before The Block takeover
The local then supplied us with some sneaky drone pics of the site before The Block takeover.
Three pictures were taken in December 2023, five weeks after Nine’s purchase, showing the resort in good condition ahead of the renovations.

Another photo, taken on February 4, three weeks before contestants and the production crews arrived, shows work had already started on the properties.
One of the homes even had its roof completely removed. Meanwhile, others were already covered in scaffolding.

We also obtained drone footage from the same time period, proving that the renovations had already begun.
A fifth image, taken on March 16 during production, shows half-completed properties with completed roofs but still covered in scaffolding.
The construction site also featured lots of heavy machinery, trucks, skip bins, and production equipment.

We also stumbled across some pics of the resort in very good condition when it was still listed for holiday leasings before The Block purchased it. And is “run-down” in the room with us?

Phillip Island reveals The Block 2024 filming discrepancies
The local then debunked another resident’s claims that contestants would need to take a car ferry to Sorrento and drive 1.5 hours to Melbourne CBD to buy building supplies, as there were limited places to shop in Phillip Island.
“It’s a very touchy subject here on the island, but in short, the car ferry doesn’t exist,” they told So Dramatic!.
“We have a limited passenger ferry from Cowes Island to French Island and Stony Point, which has limited services and is weather dependent.
“It’s something potential buyers might want to know before purchasing one of these properties.” Interesting…
The Block 2024 site is still ‘nowhere near finished’
They also shared an interesting tidbit on the current state of The Block site.
“They’re still doing landscaping and driveways and heaps of other work since filming ended,” the source spilled.
“The contestants and main production left in June and are still nowhere near finished. Since production finished, the remaining workforce would be a quarter of the builders working there during production.”
And we wonder if it will be done by auction day…
