The Block 2024‘s Paige Beechey has called out the show’s edit as backlash mounts against her and fiancé Jesse Maguire.
ICYMI: Jesse and Paige (who quit partway through the series) have got off to quite a tumultuous start on the landmark 20th season of the renovation show.
And we’re not just talking with their build or with one another, but with die-hard viewers of The Block.

Since the premiere, Paige has been dubbed “rude” and “entitled” for her behaviour towards the cast and crew.
However, the claims specialist thinks something’s awry with how The Block has been cut together.
Taking to her Instagram Story on August 21, Paige shared a screen grab from a recent episode.
“Can make better edits in iMovie,” she claimed. LOL!

Paige Beechey calls The Block 2024 editing ‘wild’
On Paige’s personal Instagram account — which is noticeably absent of all The Block-related content — she conducted a Q&A as the August 25 episode aired.
When asked if she thinks “the show’s edits are accurate or portrayed” she and Jesse “differently”, the 27-year-old said that “editing is a wild, wild thing”.
In another Instagram Story, she called their storyline a “narrative”.
“We do have many cute moments; you just don’t get to see them on the TV for the sake of our narrative,” she wrote.

The Perth-based contestant refuted claims she and Jesse ditched The Block because they were “not prepared to give up [their] Euro Summer” holiday.
“Did you really leave The Block to go to Cyprus!?” one fan asked Paige, who is currently overseas with Jesse and friends.
“Leave The Block to go on holiday… come on,” she replied, indicating that it was a silly notion.

Her not-so-subtle swipe at the show comes after her co-stars, Ricky Recard and Haydn Wise, defended Paige and Jesse against viewer backlash.
