Insiders have revealed which Married at First Sight Australia 2024 participants have received invitations to this year’s Logies.

For those not in the loop, the TV WEEK Logie Awards are set to air on Seven come August 18. After the sh*t-ton of drama that came from the MAFS 2023 cast last year, we’ve been eagerly waiting to hear which feuding stars will make an appearance in 2024.

Back in June, Daily Mail Australia reported that “half” of the Season 11 cast didn’t cop invites to TV’s night of nights.

The outlet alleged that Jade Pywell and Ridge Barredo were likely to walk the red carpet alongside the show’s experts. Plus, “breakout stars” Lucinda Light, Tristan Black, Lauren Dunn and Eden Harper were “more than likely” to appear.

However, as reported in episode 402 of the So Dramatic! podcast, this is far from the case.

NONE of the Married at First Sight 2024 cast received Logies invitations

One source told So Dramatic! that Channel Nine “decided not to invite any of the MAFS cast this year”.

“They didn’t want the headache of it all, given the drama that went down last year with some of the cast feuding,” they dished. “It really overshadowed the night and cheapened the event. It was a bad look for the network.”

The insider also claimed that “executives have made it clear” that they won’t stand for “petty MAFS drama” overshadowing other Nine talent.

“Not only that but considering who to invite became a bit of a minefield given how many of the cast are feuding,” they added.

Why inviting MAFS 2024 cast to Logies ‘could have gotten ugly’

According to the source, the only remaining couples from MAFS 2024Jack Dunkley and Tori Adams and Ridge and Jade — have too much controversy to be invited.

“Jack and Tori would never be invited given the public backlash… And even recent claims about Ridge [allegedly cheating on Jade] have meant that the network wants to distance itself from him too,” they explained.

They also said Timothy Smith and Lucinda’s recent fallout “would have made for some awkward red carpet moments”. Meanwhile, Timothy has also been “blacklisted” for calling out Peter Stefanovic‘s controversial Sky News interview with Indigenous fisherman Keegan Payne.

As for MAFS golden girls Sara Mesa and Lauren, the insider said “things could have gotten ugly” at the Logies, considering they “aren’t friendly with most of the cast”.

“The whole thing is just too risky and too difficult to manage,” the source concluded.

Another insider says staffing issues contributed to MAFS cast’s Logies snub

A second source told So Dramatic! host Megan Pustetto that staffing issues contributed to the MAFS cast’s snub from the Logies.

“Most of the Channel Nine publicity team are busy working around the clock on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games,” they confessed. “They simply don’t have enough resources to organise the logistics of 10 MAFS [stars] attending the Logies, before or during.

“They are essentially short-staffed this year.”

News that the MAFS cast won’t be at the 2024 Logies comes after 2022 bride Olivia Frazer warned punters against voting for the marriage experiment.
