Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Eden Harper has addressed Jayden Eynaud‘s cooked on-screen confession that he was later exposed for lying about.
ICYMI: During Confessions Week, Jayden told his TV wife Eden that he got back at a cheating ex by sleeping with her best friend while she watched.
However, during her spicy tell-all in episode 350 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the ex in question claimed the kickboxer’s confession was one HUGE lie! Yikes…
Speaking to Chattr, Eden said Jayden’s admission changed everything for her.
“When I first experienced the confession letter in real life, I’d only known Jayden a few weeks,” the recruitment manager recalled. “It was hard at the time as I really liked him.
“Prior to finding out, I trusted him 100 per cent… It made me question and overthink everything he said from that day on.”
Whilst the 28-year-old eventually forgave her hubby, she wasn’t the “best version of herself” moving forward because her trust in him was “subconsciously broken”.
“Reliving the story all over again when it aired was really hard for me as, by that point, I’d been with the guy for seven to eight months and was completely in love,” Eden added.
“It was tough seeing everyone’s opinions and the way people spoke about him online.”
When did Married at First Sight‘s Eden find out Jayden’s confession was a lie?
Eden then admitted she found out Jayden was lying about his confession whilst the show was airing.
“The day after [the confession] aired, his ex-girlfriend came out and claimed the story was false,” the former bride said.
“After that, he admitted to me that it didn’t happen. [I was angry at him] for putting me and his ex through that and sharing it on national television.
“It honestly made me so angry that if I wanted to be with him, I really had to choose to forgive him for it and never bring it up again, which is the choice I made.”
Eden admitted that Jayden never explained why he lied to her.
“It baffles me to this day why anyone would make that up,” she said. “I couldn’t get a straight answer from him as to why; there were just lots of different reasons and blaming other people, which didn’t make any sense.”
It comes as Jayden and Eden confirmed their split in April.
