Married at First Sight Australia 2024′s Timothy Smith has exposed Peter Stefanovic‘s “illegal” past after his controversial interview with 19-year-old millionaire Keegan Payne.
Last week, Keegan rose to fame after catching a barramundi worth $1 million in the Million Dollar Fish competition.
However, while interviewing Keegan on Sky News, Peter dredged up instances of theft from the Northern Territory-based teen’s past.
“There’s a claim online that you stole a Polaris Ranger and Polaris quad that you and your friends stole and damaged from a business a few years back… Is that true?” the TV journalist asked.
“Yes,” Keegan responded, admitting he and his mates weren’t “thinking at the time”.
However, his problematic line of questioning caused mass outrage among viewers, who demanded Peter resign for trying to turn a feel-good story into a scandal.
Peter, who has since disappeared from social media, and Sky News has since issued an apology to Keegan.

Timothy, who also has a criminal past, has taken to social media to slam Peter for weaponising Keegan’s past whilst making a number of shocking allegations about him.
“Pete… I’m absolutely f*cking disgusted in you,” the reality star began in a video shared to TikTok.

“For a young bloke in the territory to turn his life around and for you to point out something he did five years ago when he was 14. You should be absolutely disgusted in yourself.”
The former groom added that he was disappointed in the reporter for “making something disgusting out of something positive”, especially at a time when Australians are “looking for positive messages”.
Sources revealed to So Dramatic! that Timothy and Peter were acquaintances when the reporter dated one of his friends several years ago.

Timothy then alleged that Peter has an “illegal” past of his own, stating that they’d shared a night out 20 years ago in Vancouver, Canada, where the TV groom used to live.
“What people don’t know is that Pete visited me 20 years ago in Vancouver, and as you know, I’ve been on A Current Affair.
“So, Pete, do you remember the 24-hour bender we went on in Vancouver? How f*cking clean were you that night, my friend?” the 52-year-old asked.
“Tell me about some of the stories you did, illegal stories, here on the Gold Coast. Things that you didn’t get caught for. They might not have been big. But I only scratched the top of it.
“Pete, you only told me a few of the things you didn’t get caught for.”
Timothy then claimed that Sky News should “stroke a check for $5 million” and Peter should “stroke [his] resignation letter”.
“Trust me, you aren’t clean, my friend,” Timothy continued, addressing Peter.
“I know what I’m talking about, and I know what you said 20 years ago. Your past isn’t clean. You’ve done things wrong, and you’ve got the nerve to call out this young bloke who’s actually changed his life in the Northern Territory.
“Shame on you, shame on Sky News.”
So Dramatic! has contacted Sky News and Peter Stefanovic in regards to the allegations.

The business owner finished off his video addressing Keegan.
“Mate, you’re the man. The Northern Territory should do an advertising campaign with your name on it because you’re an inspiration,” he said. “I want to defend you and say: Nobody’s clean”.
“The fact that you work two jobs and fishing is your passion, and it’s hard up there in the top end. I just want to give you a huge shout-out that Australia’s behind you… Enjoy watching me carve up the guy who carved you up.”
