Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Lucinda Light has released a lengthy statement about the demise of her friendship with Timothy Smith, and things aren’t looking good.
ICYMI: Fans of the marriage experiment have been in mourning after it was revealed the show’s “Mum and Dad” had called time on what we all thought would be a lifelong friendship.
It all started to unravel when it appeared the duo had unfollowed each other. Timothy then shared a series of not-so-subtle TikToks hinting that his time wasn’t “respected”.

Now, Lucinda has taken to Instagram to take “responsibility” for any hurt she’s caused her former TV husband.
“In regards to the comments and blocking Tim has done – Conscious, clear and kind communication would have been my preference. If I’d offended Tim, I would have loved a phone conversation toward resolve,” she wrote alongside a snap of the pair.
“A couple of times, I’ve confided in other cast members about genuine processes I’ve had since the show and behaviours that have upset me.
“I’m sure I’m not alone in that. We all need to process and share. Going on a reality TV show has been a huge experience, and in many ways, I’m still processing it.”

The 43-year-old then confessed she harbours “no hard feelings” towards Timothy.
“In my heart, I’ve always held Tim with understanding and compassion. I take responsibility for any hurt I may have caused by sharing my feelings and hurts,” Lucinda continued.
“There are no hard feelings on my end, and I still hold a lantern of hope for our friendship… I’m sorry, I love you, and I forgive you.”
Married at First Sight‘s Lucinda Light confirms she won’t speak further on the fallout
Reiterating that upsetting Timothy is “certainly not [her] intention”, Lucinda said she is grateful for feedback she’s received from other cast members on the situation.
“I appreciate the feedback from any cast members or anyone who feels I’ve upset Tim in any way, which is certainly not my intention.
“If Tim doesn’t know what I stand for from the months of hanging out, then there’s nothing I can do about that. I only wish Tim all the love & success,” she said.
“This is the last I’ll say on this piece. I’ve said what I have to say. I want to get on with my life. I’ve got lots of love to share, and I believe Tim does too.”
Lucinda concluded: “Everyone’s just trying their best in this one precious life, and I, for one, don’t want to spend my energy and time in war with anyone.”
It comes after she told So Dramatic! that her “doors and arms will always be open to Timbo”.
