Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Lucinda Light has shared a touching tribute to her TV husband Timothy Smith.
The 11th season of the marriage experiment is finally over, and there’s no denying that Lucinda and Timothy faced their fair share of obstacles.
However, the pair have come out the other side as the best of friends. Given that, Lucinda has taken to social media to mark the occasion with a sweet message to her TV bae.
“That’s a wrap! What a blast!” she started the Instagram post, which was accompanied by a series of snaps of the couple at the Reunion Commitment Ceremony.
“What I adore most about you, Tim is your ability to bring laughter to those around you, even amidst your own pain and loss.
“Your bravery throughout our time together has been awesome! You opened up your vulnerable side, showing men everywhere that it’s not okay to bottle it up!”
Lucinda added that “despite [his] ‘Tin Man’ facade”, she is able to “see the enormous heart” Timothy has.

Confessing that she’s “incredibly proud of Tim”, Lucinda continued: “I’m sure your mum Varee and brother Dave would be too, looking down on you from up above.
“You’ve shown true courage and authenticity, and you’re a legend. Too many men suffer in silence, and it’s time we changed that paradigm. We need to celebrate men who are open-hearted and willing to show their emotions. That’s the new SEXY!”
Lucinda said she “witnessed [Tim] take tremendous strides” during their time in the experiment“.
“I hope you continue on your path of healing,” she penned. “True redemption and inner peace come from letting go, forgiving, and allowing love to flow freely. I believe in you, Timbo, and I know that a wonderful woman awaits you for a joyous journey ahead.
“Here whenever you need an ear… With love and admiration, Lu.”
Lucinda’s message was shared ahead of So Dramatic! revealing that Timothy spent over a year in super-maximum prison in the US for drug trafficking in 2006.
The TV groom later opened up about his past in a tell-all A Current Affair interview.
