On June 26, Channel Nine gave viewers a sneak peek into the chaos set to unfold on the 20th season of the hit renovation show. And boy, are we excited!

The first look showed hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft in a helicopter on their way to the set.

“I tell ya, this is going to be the greatest one,” Scott said. “Shell, this year, I’m taking this in a whole new direction.” Ooh!

“Come on a journey across the sea to a land like no other,” the voiceover teased. “It’s an adventure 20 years in the making. For the first time, The Block is pure paradise.”

Who are the teams on The Block 2024?

The trailer also introduced us to the five teams taking on The Block this year (and spoiler alert: one QUITS partway through filming!).

Courtney and Grant will make up the Red Team, whilst Ricky and Haydn will represent the Yellow Team.

Meanwhile, Kylie and Brad will front the Green Team, and Jesse and Paige will be on Team Blue.

Last but not least, Kristian and Mimi will make up Team Purple.

The voiceover teased that the duos were “completely out of their depth” when “transforming an island resort”. And we can’t wait to watch this trainwreck!

The Block will grace our screens in August, so keep your eyes peeled!

Fans point out MAJOR blunder in The Block 2024 trailer

Fans took to the comments section on The Block’s official Instagram page to point out a HUGE mistake they’d noticed in the trailer.

“Tropical???? Couldn’t be further from the truth 😂,” one user commented, referencing the show’s filming location

“Careful, you’ll set off the Victorians,” another person replied.

“I am a Victorian 😂 ,” the user responded. “There’s no one here that believes that promo.” LOL!

Meanwhile, a third person merely wrote “Tropical Island,” and this simple comment speaks volumes!
